1-5-1954
Elizabeth Sellet
            Elizabeth Sellet, 78, resident of Ottoville, died Tuesday at midnight in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Ft. Wayne. She had been in ill health for several years.
            Mrs. Sellet was born at Ottoville on August 24, 1875, a daughter of Peter and Bridget Wurst. She was married to Charles Sellet who survives with a son, Sylvester of Ft. Wayne; two grandchildren and two brothers, August Wurst of Delphos and Charles Wurst of Long Beach, Calif.
            Mrs. Sellet was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Ottoville and the Alter Rosary Society of the parish.
            Funeral services will be held in the Ottoville church Saturday morning at nine o’clock. Rev. J. F. Frommherz, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

Joseph H. Schlagbaum
            Joseph H. Schlagbaum, 69, prominent and respected farmer of the Ottoville community, died unexpectedly at his home at four o’clock Friday morning as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage. His death followed an illness of only an hour.
            A lifelong resident of Monterey township, Mr. Schlagbaum was born near Ottoville on June 21, 1884, a son of Bernard and Clara Schlagbaum. He was married at Ottoville to Miss Theresia Becker on October 4, 1905.
            He is survived by his wife; nine children, Mrs. Charles Heathman and Mrs. Kenneth Roth of Ft. Wayne; Mrs. Ralph Spieles, Delphos; Anthony and Othmar Schlagbaum, and Mrs. Hubert Altenburger, Ottoville; Mrs. Virgil Kohlreiser, Wapakoneta, and Mrs. Robert Krause and Miss Joan Schlagbaum, of Lima; 23 grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. John Giesken, of Landeck, and Louise Schlagbaum of Cloverdale. A son Vincent and three children died in infancy preceded him in death.
            Mr. Schlagbaum was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the sacred heart League of the Ottoville parish.
            Funeral services were held in the church Monday at 10 o’clock. Rev. Frommherz, the pastor officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Elizabeth C. Brabant
Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth C. Brabant, 85, former W. Clime St. resident, will be held at 9 a. m. Friday in St. John's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. She died yesterday at her home west of Delphos.
She was the former Elizabeth Pavel and was married at Ottoville to John J. Brabant who survives with three sons. Sylvester and Henry, of Delphos; Edward, of Struthers, Ohio, and two daughters, Mrs. Irene Pierce, Delphos, and Mrs. Laurette Conwell, Van Wert.
The body is at the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home where friends may call.

Charles B. Looser
Charles B. Looser, 58, Route 2, Fort Jennings, died at 6:10 p. m, in Lima St. Rita's Hospital following a heart attack.
Born in Ottoville. Mr. Looser was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Delphos Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
He is survived by his widow, Rose, two sons, Bernard and LaVerne, both at home; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Elwer, Delphos; three brothers, Henry, of Dayton,
Joseph, of Fort Jennings, and William, of Ottoville; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Leis, Ottoville, one half brother, Albert Schmersal, Delphos, and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday in the Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville. The Rev. J. F. Frommherz will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville. Friends may call at the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home after 1 p. m. Monday.

Minerva Perrin
Requiem High Mass will be sung at 10 a. m. Monday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, for Mrs. Minerva M. Perrin, 42, wife of Melvin Perrin, formerly of Delphos, who died of a heart attack at 9:15 p. m. yesterday in her home In Fort Wayne, Ind. The Rev. J. F. Frommherz will celebrate the mass, and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
Mrs. Perrin was born in Delphos May 15, 1911, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Lehmkuhle. She lived in Fort Wayne the last 16 years. Her father, who survives, is a former mayor of Delphos.
Also surviving, besides her husband, and her father, are two sons, Richard and James, and three daughters, Elaine, Colleen and Sandra, all at home; three brothers. Percival, and Herman, both in Delphos, Montanus, Anchorage, Alaska; and two grandchildren.
The body will arrive in Delphos to remain in the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, here, where friends may call after 7 p. m. Saturday.

Loretta Howe
Former Ottoville Resident Dies
Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic church, Toledo, for Mrs. Loretta Miller Howe, who died suddenly at Mercy hospital, Toledo, Saturday, February 20. Burial was made in Calvary cemetery,
Mrs. Howe, the daughter of the late John and Catherine Miller, of Ottoville, was fifty-six years old last November 22.
Surviving are two daughters; two grandchildren, all of Toledo; three sisters and three brothers; Mrs. John Eickholt, Leo and Jack Miller, Ottoville; Miss Adeline Miller, Toledo; Mrs. Joseph Schmitt, Ottawa, and a brother in San Francisco, Calif. A brother.
Sylvester, died a year ago.

Mary A. Brinkman
Mrs. Mary Brinkman, 82, widow of Frank C. Brinkman, died at her home near Ottoville Sunday night at 11:15, following a serious illness of a week.
She was born at Glandorf on December 11, 1871, the daughter of Simon and Theresa Roof. She was married to Frank J. Brinkman on January 20, 1896. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1945.
She is survived by six children, Fred, of Detroit; Alphonse and Miss Verena, at home; Mrs. Anna Schweller, of Decatur, Ind., Mrs. Leona Smith, of Columbus Grove, and Cletus Brinkman, of Delphos. She also leaves 10 grandchildren: eight great grandchildren; three brothers, John Roof, of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Charles and Edward Roof, of Glandorf, and three sisters, Mrs. Ben Michel and Mrs. Della Annesaer, of Ottawa, and Mrs. John Schmitt, of Leipsic. Four children preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday morning at 9:30 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic church at Ottoville, Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Frank U. Sanders
Requiem High Mass for Frank Urban Sanders, 33, of northwest of Ottoville, will be sung Monday in the Immaculate Conception Church, here, at a time to be announced. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, here.
Mr. Sanders suffered a heart attack at 12:15 a. m. today in his home. He had not been ill previously. He was an employee of the Ohio Steel Foundry, Lima, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
He was born January 15, 1921, near Ottoville, and on Aug. 1, 1942, married Hazel Adams, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Linda, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Sanders, Ottoville; sisters, Mrs. Burnette Jackway, Chicago; Mrs. Margaret Grothouse,
Ottoville; and three brothers, Gilbert, Edward and Anthony, all of Ottoville.
The body will remain in the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, Delphos, until time of services.

Elizabeth Wenzlick
Mrs. Elizabeth Wenzlick, resident of northwest of Ottoville, died at 5:45 Thursday afternoon of last week after an illness of three and one half months. She was 78 years of age.
She was horn at Ottoville on June 5, 1875, a daughter of Gerhard end Mary Deitering. She was married to George Wenzlick on April 19, 1904 he preceded her in death on June 7, 1928.
            Surviving are four children, Herman at home; Lawrence Wenzlick, of Gran Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Caroline Hoffman, of Marion, and Mrs. Regina Jerwers, of Ft. Jennings; 31 grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Deitering, of Chesaning, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. Theresia Nietling, of Chesaning, Mich.
            Mrs. Wenzlick was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Ottoville and the Alter Rosary Society of the parish.
            Funeral services were held in the Ottoville church Monday morning at 9:30, Rev. Frommherz, the pastor, officiated. Interment was made in the parish cemetery.

Joseph Schurer
Requiem High Mass for Joseph Schurer, 84, who died yesterday in his home west of here, will be at 10 a. m. Monday in the Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville. The Rev. J. F Frommherz will be celebrant and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Schurer had been ill the last six weeks. He was married to Mary Van Oss who died in 1940. He was member of the Immaculate Conception Church,
Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Philip Schimmoeller, at home, and three foster grandchildren.
The body will remain in the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, Delphos, until Saturday afternoon, it will be removed to the residence to remain until services.

Adeliade Smith
Services for Mrs. Adelaide H. Smith, 37, wife of Fred H. Smith Columbus Grove, who died at 1 a. m. Saturday in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima, will be at 9:30 a. m Tuesday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church here. The Rev. Karl Finsel will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Mrs. Smith had been seriously ill for about three weeks. The Altar Society of the church will recite the rosary at 8 p. m Monday in the Hartman & Son Funeral Home here, and the C. L. of C. will have services at 8:30 p. m
Surviving asides her husband are a daughter, Cora Ann; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Rellinger, Ottoville; four brothers John and Carl Rellinger, Fort Jennings;
Oscar Rellinger, Fremont and Arthur Rellinger, Ottawa; four sisters, Mrs. Arthur Metzger and Mrs. Russell Donaldson, Fort Jennings; Mrs. Harold Stechschulte, Kalida, and Miss Isabel Rellinger, Columbus Grove.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.

Marvin Wannemacher
Requiem high mass for Marvin A. Wannemacher, 40, Ottoville, who died at 12:30 p. m. Saturday in Columbus, will be at 9:30 a. m Tuesday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. The Rev. F. J. Fromrnherz will officiate and burial will be in St Marys Cemetery, Ottoville.
He had been ill with Hodgkin disease for 12 years. He was married to Angela Horstman July 4, 1938 at Cloverdale.
Survivors include the widow Angela; two sons, Daniel and John; one daughter, Joyce; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wannemacher, Ottoville; three brothers, Edward, Chiefland, Fla., and Cletus and Frederick, both of Dayton.
The body will be taken from the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home Delphos, to the family home in Ottoville, where friends may call after 4 p. m. Sunday.

Rose Looser
Requiem high mass for Mrs. Rosa B. Looser, 59, Ottoville who died at 5:35 p. m.
Saturday in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima, will be at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a native of Landeck. Her husband, Charles B., died last Jan. 23.
Surviving are two sons, Bernard and Laverne, both of Ottoville; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Elwer, Delphos; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Heitt, Delphos, three brothers, Joseph Klausing, Lima, John A. Klausing, Delphos, and Louis Klausing, Toledo, and
six grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home Delphos, to the family home in Ottoville, where friends may call after 5 p. m. Sunday.

Frank J. Miller
            Frank J. Miller, 74, retired farmer and resident of Ottoville, died at St. Rita’s Hospital, Lima, Saturday morning at 10:30. 
            Born at Bellevue on March 5, 1880, a son of Daniel and Elizabeth Miller, the deceased had spent practically all of his life in the Ottoville community. He was married in that village to Miss Rose Altenburger and she preceded him in death in 1937.
            The couple reared Hubert Bendele of Ottoville, who survives with four foster grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Martha Mock of Dayton and Mrs. Louise Millen of Monroeville, and two brothers, Peter of Toledo and Joseph Miller of Lorain.
            Funeral services were held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Ottoville Tuesday morning at 9:30. Rev. J. F. Frommherz officiated. Interment was made in the church cemetery.

Theresa Friemoth
Services for Mrs. Theresa Marie Friemoth, 61, wife of Theodore Friemoth, Delphos, ceremony will be at 9 a. m. Wednesday in St. John's Catholic Church, the Rev. William Friemoth, Grand Rapids, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Friemoth was found dead in the bathroom of her home a 4 p. m. Sunday by members of the family. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born in Ottoville, Feb. 9, 1893 Mrs. Friemoth was married Sept 8, 1915, to Theodore Friemoth, who survives.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Eagles Lodge auxiliary.
Surviving besides the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Aloys Heidenescher, Adrian, Mich.; Mrs. Robert Tesnow, McComb; Miss Marie Friemoth, Adrian; and five
sons, Elmer, Edwin and Rupert Delphos; Orville, Adrian and Arthur. Tiffin, and 20 grandchildren. Also, four brothers, Henry and John Landwehr, Ottoville; William Delphos; Charles, Kalida; and five sisters, Mrs. William Turnwald, Ottoville; Mrs. Ernest Rupley, Hudson, Mich.; Mrs. August Koenig Leipsic; Mrs. Carl Koenig, Adrian: and Mrs. Richard Tigner, Delphos

Anna Klein
            Mrs. Anna Klein, 82, Ottoville, died at St. Rita’s Hospital, Lima, at 2:55 a.m. Monday following an illness of four months.
            Funeral services were held Thursday morning at nine o’clock in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Ottoville. Rev. J. F. Frommherz officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
            Mrs. Klein was born at Ottoville on December 25, 1871. She married Mathias Klein and he died August 15, 1950.
            Surviving are a half brother, Henry Krebs, and a half sister, Mrs. Frank Grothouse, both of Delphos. Two children, Henry and Catherine preceeded him in death.
            Mrs. Klein was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and of the Alter Rosary Society of the church.

Magdelena Weber
Mrs. Magdalene Weber, 81, died at 2:15 p. m. yesterday in her home near Muntana. She had been ill several years.
Born October 2, 1872, in Ottoville, she was married May 27, 1890, to Charles P. Weber and he survives.
Also surviving are five sons, William, Taylor Center, Mich.; Frank, Ecorse. Mich., and Ralph, Carl and John, all of Ottoville; daughters, Mrs. William Kappel,
Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Elvin Rekart, Wyandotte, Mich.; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Requiem High Mass will be at 9:30 a. m. Thursday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, with the Rev. J. F. Frommherz as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
The body will be removed from Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, Delphos, to the family home late this afternoon.

Anton Bensman
Anton G. Bensman, 66, who was born at Ottoville and spent his youth in that community, died at his home in Delphos on Tuesday as a result of a heart attack.
He was married to Rosalia Gasser at Ottoville on April 30, 1912. Surviving with his wife, are his mother, Mrs. Rosalia Bensman of Delphos; four children and 10 brothers and sisters, Mrs. John O. Rellinger of Ft. Jennings is a daughter; Mrs. C. M. Ricker, of Ft. Jennings, and Mrs. Frank Hohlbein, of Ottoville are sisters, and Henry Bensman of Continental, is a brother.
Funeral services will be held in St. John's Catholic Church, Delphos, Friday morning at nine o'clock. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Ottoville.

Alex J. Miller
Alex Miller, Ottoville Merchant, Dies
Alex J. Miller, 73, prominent merchant here, died at 3:10 p. m. Saturday in his home of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been ill for years,
Mr. Miller was senior member buyer and manager of the J. J. Miller Co. Department Store, which his father founded 60 years ago. A brother, Edward, and a sister
Margaret, also are associated with the firm.
Mr. Miller also was vice president of the Ottoville Bank Co., and a member of the bank's Board of Directors. He was a member of the Delphos Knights of Columbus, Ottoville Catholic Knights of Ohio, the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, and the Holy Name Society.
He was born Sept. 21, 1881 in Ottoville and was married June 19 1917 in Celina to Jennie A. Gast who survives.
Others surviving are three daughters, Irene, at home; Mrs. Ruth Ratterman, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Jane Koty, Milwaukee, Wis.; a son, Alex E., at home; two brothers, Edward, Ottoville, and Rudi Celina; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Mersman, Celina, and Mrs. J. F Ockuly, Delphos, and seven grandchildren.
Solemn Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a. m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, here. The Rev. J. F. Frommherz will officiate and burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
The body will be taken from the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, Delphos, to the residence, where friends may call after 6 p. m. Sunday.

Michael Miller (Infant)
Graveside services for Michael Miller, day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Miller, Ottoville, will be at 4 p. m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. J. F. Frommherz will officiate. The infant died at 1:45 a. m. today in Lima St. Rita's Hospital.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Martha; two brothers, Gary and George; paternal grandfather, Joseph J. Miller, Ottoville; maternal grandfather, Joseph Burgei, Cloverdale; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller, Ottoville.
Arrangements are in charge of the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, Delphos.

Frank W. Ruen
Frank W. Ruen, 76, prominent and lifelong resident of Monterey, township, died in St. Rita's hospital, Lima, Saturday morning at 10:30. He had been a hospital, patient since May 28th when he suffered e stroke of paralysis.
Mr. Ruen was born near Ottoville on September 2, 1878, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ruen, a retired farmer, he had resided in the Ottoville community all of his life.
He was married at Ottoville to Mary Schlagbaum on June 1, 1904. She preceded him in death on June 22, 1953.
He is survived by two sons; Alex, at home, and John of Ottawa: three daughters, Miss Irene, of Ottoville; Mrs. Ludwin Wannemacher, Delphos, and Mrs. Raymond Heitt, of Landeck; nine grandchildren: a brother, William of Cloverdale, and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Trenkamp, of Ottoville; Mrs. Joseph Schmersal, of west of Glandorf, and Mrs. Lena O'Donell of Akron, a daughter Irene, died in 1938.
Mr. Ruen took an active interest in church, community and public affairs. He served as township trustee for 16 years; was township ditch supervisor for six years; was a councilman of the Immaculate Conception church for 14 years; was a member of the parish cemetery board for eight years; was vice president of the C. K. of O. at Ottoville at the time of his death; was a former president of the Farmer's Mutual Fire Insurance association, and served as a member of the Putnam, County Democratic Central and Executive committees for a number of years.
Funeral services were held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic church at Ottoville Tuesday.

Frank M. Studenka
Frank Martin Studenka, 75, of 314 South Vine Street, died at 8:40 a.m. today at the Van Wert County Hospital where he had been a patient five days. His death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.
A son of Martin and Elizabeth (Grozurec) Studenka, he was born February 5, 1879, in Czechoslovokia. He had resided in Van Wert for 18 months and prior to that time had lived in Delphos.
He was a retired employee of the Delphos plant of Deisel-Wemmer-Gilbert Corporation. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville and a member of the Czechoslovakia Society of America.
Surviving are six children, Joseph of Flint. Mich., John of Fort Jennings, Charles and Lewis of Delphos, Steve of Lima and Mrs. Robert G. Youtsey of South Vine Street: a brother, John, of Czechoslovakia and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Cowan and Son Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral and burial arrangements are incomplete.

William P. Pittner
            William P. Pittner, 54, resident of Ottoville, died at five o’clock Monday morning at the Sandusky Soldiers and Sailors Home. He had been ill for three years.
            Mr. Pittner was born at Ottoville on March 29, 1900, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Pittner. He was married in Knoxville, Tenn., to Miss Row Jackson who preceded him in death in 1937.
            Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Clara Sawmiller of Ottoville, and Mrs. Pauline Burgei of Cloverdale.
            A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the V. F. W. at Ottoville and the Immaculate Conception church in that village.
            Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 9:30 in the Ottoville church. Interment was made in the parish cemetery.

Martha M. Ellerbrock
Last rites will be held at 9:30 a. m. Monday in St. John's Catholic Church here for
Mrs. Martha M. Ellerbrock, 24, of Glandorf. The Rev. Otto Brackmann will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
            Mrs. Ellerbrock died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday in Lima St. Rita’s Hospital. She was born in Ottoville May 25, 1930, to Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lauer and married Richard Ellerbrock who survives.
Also surviving are her father, who is Putnam County treasurer; two sons, Mark and Larry, both at home: five sisters, Mrs. Earl Giesige, New Bavaria, and Mrs. Joseph Flynn, Columbus Grove, Irene, Alice and Nancy Lauer, all of Ottawa; the three brothers, William Lauer, Dayton; James, Delphos and Richard, Leipsic.
The body will remain at the Fischer Funeral Home where friends may call.

Anne M. Horstman
Mrs. Anna M. Horstman, 62, died at 3:15 a. m. Monday in her home following a
heart attack.
            She was born in Ottoville and was married there Aug. 5, 1913, to Henry
W. Horstman, who survives.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church here and the Altar Society.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Hubert, near Fort Jennings; a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Landin, near Ottoville, and six grandchildren.
The body will remain in the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, Delphos, where friends may call after 2 p. m. Tuesday. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9:30 a. m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Church, here, with the Rev. John Miller as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Malinda Calvelage
Mrs. Malinda L. Calvelage, 53, wife of Postmaster Alex M. Calvelage of Ottoville, died at 7:30 Friday morning in St. Rita’s Hospital, Lima.
            She was born at Ottoville on October 10, 1901, the daughter of Joseph G. and Mary Otte. On April 7, 1945, she was married to Mr. Calvelage who survives with a sister, Mrs. Ralph Siler, of Lima.
            Mrs. Calvelage was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Ottoville C. L. of C.
            Funeral services were held in the Ottoville church at 10 o’clock Monday morning. Interment was made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Rosalia M. Bensman, 66, resident of Delphos, died in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima, Wednesday of last week. Her death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage, which she suffered a day previously.
Mrs. Bensman was born at Ottoville on August 1, 1888, a daughter of Gerhard and Anna Gasser. She was married to Anton G. Bensman on April 30, 1912. He preceded her in death on August 31st of this year.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Louis Carder and Leonard, Of Delphos; Lawrence, at home, and Mrs. John O. Rellinger, of Ft. Jennings; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Frank, William and Gebhard Gasser, all of Delphos, and a sister Mrs. Oliver Beining, of Ottoville.
Funeral services were held in St. John's Catholic Church at Delphos Saturday morning at 9:30. Burial was made in St. Mary's cemetery at Ottoville.

Anna Gergan
Miss Anna Gergen, 81, Route 3, Fort Jennings, a lifetime resident of the Fort Jennings area, died at 5 a. m., Sunday at her home. She had been ill for eight years.
Miss Gergen was born Feb. 17, 1873.
Survivors include two sisters, Miss Susan Gergen, at home, and Mrs. Margaret Liebrecht, Ottoville. Two sisters and two brothers died previously.
Services will be at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Et. Rev. Msgr. J. F. Frommherz officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, south of Ottoville.
The body will remain at the Kolkmeycr Funeral Home, Delphos, until time of services.

Roman Miller
Requiem High Mass for Roman Miller, 54, Route 2, Fort Jennings, will be at
9:30 a. m. Wednesday in the Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. F. Frommherz will be celebrant and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
Mr. Miller died at 1:40 p. m. Sunday in Lima St. Rita's Hospital of a heart ailment following a brief illness. He was a native of Ottoville and was a farmer. On June 13, 1934, he was married to Elizabeth Koester, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Dorothy, at home; six brothers, Isadora, Delphos; Hugo, Duluth, Minn.; Stephen, Bruno, Mark and Wilbur, all of Ottoville; two sisters, Mrs. George Grothouse, Delphos, and Mrs. George Hilvers, Ottoville.
The body will remain in the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home, Delphos, until services.

Paul Utrup
            Paul Utrup, Ottoville resident, died in Toledo hospital Tuesday afternoon at 5:10 following an illness of several years. A former farmer of that community. He was 64 years of age.
            He was born near Ottoville on April 8, 1890, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Utrup. He was never married. However, he reared Theodore B. Lauf, of Ottawa, who survives with two brothers, Henry and Joseph, both of Delphos. Four brothers and four sisters are deceased.
            Funeral services will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Ottoville, Friday made in the parish cemetery. The body is at Kolkmeyer funeral home in Delphos.

Frank J. Zahm
Frank Joseph Zahm, 73, of 955 N. Elizabeth St., died at 4 a. m. today in St. Rita's Hospital. Ill six months, he had been in the hospital 10 days.
Born Dec. 4, 1881, in Ottoville, he worked as a gardener in San Diego, Calif., for 30 years prior to retiring in 1942. He came to Lima in that year and had made his home with his brother-in-law, Joseph Vincke.
Also surviving are a niece, Rose Marie Vincke, also of 955 N. Elizabeth St., and three nephews, Lester S., Vincke, 694 N. Elizabeth St., Cletus, Hampton, Va, and Elvin,
of the N. Elizabeth St. address. Mr. Zahm was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Requiem High Mass will be at 9:30 a. m. Friday in St Gerard's Church the Very Rev. Francis J. Daley as celebrant Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville Friends may call at the Cantwell Mortuary after 7 p. m. Wednesday.
