Clementine Kahle
Mrs. Clementine Kahle, 89, formerly of Kalida, died at 12:50 p.m. last
Wednesday at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida , the Rev. Richard Kissner officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She was born September 1, 1892, in Ottoville, to Henry and Clementine (Lemkuhl) Bensman. She married Ferd Kahle in 1913, and he died in 1952.
Surviving are four sons, Cletus, Leon, Herman, James, all of Kalida; five daughters, Mrs. George (Monica) Schmersal, Ottoville, Mrs. Arnold (Agnes) Niemeyer, Kalida; Mrs. George (Gertrude) Baldouf, Mrs. Emery (Margaret) Suever, both of Michigan, Mrs. Celeste Broecker, Ft. Jennings; 58 grandchildren: 66 great-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchild; two brother, Steven, Dayton: Ralph, Celina; and a sister, Sister Christine Bensman, Melbourne, KY.
Mrs. Kahle was a member of the Christian Mothers Club and the Kalida Catholic Ladies of Columbia.

Alex Hilvers
Alex B. Hi1vers, 85, a retired farmer, from Ottoville, died at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Putnam Acres, Ottawa.
He was born January 26, 1887, in Ottoville to Henry and Mary (Eickholt) Hilvers. He married Clara E. Kracht in Ft. Jennings on October 25,1922 and she died February 3, 1976.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Dolores) Montooth, Leipsic; four sons, Elmer and Ralph, Leipsic, Alfred, Delphos: and Leonard, Ottoville; 18 grandchildren.; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Loretta Ruen, Ottoville, and Mrs. Otmer (Clara) Smith, Columbus Grove.
A sister, Regina Schweller, and two brothers, Edwin and Stephen, are deceased.
Mr. Hilvers was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Ottoville and its Holy Name
Mass of the Resurrection was at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, in the church. Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated and burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Helen M. Martin
Helen M. Martin, 63, Delphos, died at 2:54 p.m. Friday at the Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John’s Catholic Church, Delphos, the Rev. Robert Sidner officiated. Burial was made in Resurrection Cemetery.
She was born in Ottoville on July 21, 1916, the daughter of Henry and Loretta (Kortokrax) Heising. On May 31, 1938, she married Albert Martin who died December 18, 1981.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, John and Terry, both of Delphos; three daughters, Mrs. Don (Ruth) Price Waldron, Mich.; Mrs. Ralph (Joyce) Ellerbrock, and Mrs. Norbert (Gloria) Ellerbrock, both of Ottawa; 16 grandchildren, and one brother, Otto
Heising, Elida.

Gertrude I. Byrne
Gertrude I. Byrne, 61 years old, route 2. Ft. Jennings, died at 7:30 a.m. last Wednesday at her residence of an extended illness.
She was born in Delphos on August 2, 1920, a daughter of Hannah (Knebel)
Brinkman and Fred Brinkman. She was married August 20, 1938, to John W. Byrne, and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel J. Bryne, Celina; Roger J. Byrne, Ft. Jennings; three daughters, Mrs. James(Virginia) Schroeder, Pittsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Barry (Rebecca) Cousins, Toledo; and Miss Cheryl S. Bryne, Marina Del Rey. Calif.; one
daughter, Patricia Ann preceded her in death; 10 grandchildren; two and Eugene Brinkman, Sterling Heights, Mich.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, the Alter Rosary Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was a homemaker.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the church. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Regina S. Eickholt
            Regina S. Eickholt, 86, Ottoville, died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
            She was born May 28, 1895, in Van Wert County to Henry and Mary (Davis) Grothaus. She married Gilbert B. Eickholt and he died July 4, 1971.
            Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Ruth) Horstman, Cloverdale, and Mrs. George (Marilyn) Berres, route 3, Delphos; a son Leonard, Ottoville; a sister, Frances Grothaus, Delphos; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
            She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, the Alter Rosary Society of the church and Senior Citizens.
            Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Roger
Bonifas officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mary A. Wannemacher
            Mary A. Wannemacher, 84, Ottoville, died at 2:08 a.m. Thursday at St. Rita's Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 10:30 am. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Roger Bonifas officiating. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
She was born October 18, 1897, in Delphos to Joseph and Mary (Fake) Grothaus. On May 18, 1920, she married Edwin Wannemacher, who survives.
Mrs. Wannemacher, was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,  and the Alter Rosary Society of the church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of  Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William (Lillian) Looser, Delphos: Mrs. Orley (Pat) Matson, Cloverdale; 13 grandchildren: four great-grandchildren: two sisters, Lucy Mueller and Viola Lang, both of Delphos.

Edith German
            Edith German, 80, Ft. Jennings, die at 5:25 a.m. Monday at Delphos Memorial Home.
            She was born December 28, 1901 in Ottoville to William and Lucy (Kehres) Schlagbaum. She married Henry W. German on June 30, 1926, and he died on August 4, 1967.
She is survived by three sisters, Alberta Murray, Lima; Martha Ulrich, Ottoville; Agnes Schlagbaum, Ottoville, and one brother, Walter Schlagbum, Ottoville.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings and the C.L. of C.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church the Rev. Herman Fortman officiated. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Delphos.

Verna R. Honigford
            Verna R. Honigford, 90, Ottoville, died at 8:50 P.M. Sunday at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born September 8, 1891, in Wood County, to Manville and Sadie (Bordner) Fairbanks. She married Gilbert B. Honigford and he died August 23, 1979.
            Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Ruby) Thayer, Bowling Green and Mrs. J. F. (Eleanor) Sullivan, Haskins; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
            She was the former owner of the Northside Inn Restaurant in Ottoville and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
            Funeral services were held at 11:00 this morning at the church the Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary's cemetery.

Allen E. Zolman
Former Ottoville Man Killed At Napoleon
A former Putnam County resident living in Liberty Center died after being accidently electrocuted at the Napoleon Creamery Co. last Wednesday evening.
Allen E. Zolman, 34, route 1, Liberty Center, died at the Creamery at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday. Further information was not released by Napoleon Police pending an autopsy report. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Augustine's Church.
Napoleon. The Rev. Paul Dorley officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He was born February 26, 1948, in Decatur, Indiana, to Paul and Amelia Hilvers Zolman. His mother Amelia Kreinbrink, and step father August Kreinbrink, survive in Ottoville. He married Carolyn Pohl on June 28, 1969 and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Matthew, at home: two daughters, Ann and Julie, at home; three brothers, Joe, Napoleon; Richard Fayette. Alabama: Paul, Joshua, Texas; a step-brother, Norman Kreinbrink, Findlay: and a stepsister. Mrs. Phyllis Hohenbrink, Ottawa.
Mr. Zolman was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus. He was a driver for the Babcock Dairy Co.. Toledo and Napoleon.

Eulalia Gasser
            Eulalia Gasser, 85, Ottoville, died at 8 p.m. May 25, in Delphos.
            She was born December 27, 1896 in Dyer, IN., the daughter of Peter and Rosina (Fortener) Scharf. On October 11, 1921, she married Joseph F. Gasser, who died in 1975.
            She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville and its Alter Rosary Society and the Ottoville Senior Citizens.
            Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carlon (Betty) Ober, of Worchester, Mass.; a son, Robert J. Gasser, Palos Heights, ILL.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lutgardie Helmkamp, Delphos, and Mrs. Frank (Hilda) Wurst, Ottoville; and two brothers, Eugene and Leonard Scharf, both of Toledo.
            Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Cletus A. Eggeman
            Cletus A. Eggeman, 74, route 2, Ft. Jennings, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale.
            He was born April 27, 1908 in Ottoville to Ferdinand and Bridget (Bendele) Eggeman.
            Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Rita) Few, Cridersville, and Genevieve Eggeman, Cloverdale; three brothers, Herbert, Delphos; Fred, Cloverdale; and Gregory, Ottoville.
            Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings, the Rev. Herman Fortman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
            Visitation will from 7-9 Wednesday, and 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville. A parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.
            Mr. Eggeman was retired from Metzger Implement and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Ft. Jennings American Legion. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the American Legion.

Fern M. La Franco
            Word has been received of the death of Fern Siler Le Franco in Hayward, California, on May 19, 1982. She was born May 7, 1913, in Leipsic to Ralph and Gertrude (Otte) Siler. She was married to Leo La Franco, who survives in Hayward.
            Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Sur) Traser, Naples, Italy’ three grandchildren, a great-grandchild; four sisters, Virginia Altenburger, Delphos; Mrs. Frank (Mary Catherine) Zink, and Mrs. Gertrude Jones, both of Lima, Phyllis Siler, Cincinnati; and a brother, Thomas Siler, El Paso, Texas.
            The body has been cremated and private services held.

Louis G. Utrup
            Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Leipsic for Louis G. Utrup, 76, route 2, Leipsic.
            Mr. Utrup died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday in St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, following a short illness.
            Msgr. Clarence Klausing will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
            Mr. Utrup was born June 16, 1905, in Ottoville, to Gerhard and Anna (Kehres) Utrup. He married Marcella Schroeder on April 26, 1928 and she survives.
            Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs Ottmar (Mary Lou) Siefker, Elida; Mrs. Carl (Winifred) Siefker, Delphos; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. John (Hildegarde) Pohl, Ft. Jennings.
            Mr. Utrup was retired from the Louisiana Pacific Corp. in Ottawa. He was a member of St. Mary’s church, the Holy Name Society, St. Mary’s Senior Citizens and the Ottawa Council Knights of Columbus. He was a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
            Visitation is at the Bliss-Peoples Funeral Home, Leipsic. The Holy Name Society will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Wednesday followed by a Knights of Columbus service at 8:30 p.m.

Clara M. Miller
            Clara M. Miller, 92, Columbus Grove, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
            She was born December 23, 1889, in Putnam County to Martin and Helen (Sanders) Bendele. She married Clarence S. Miller in 1913 and he died in 1965.
            Survivors include two sons, Irvin J., Columbus Grove; Robert C., Ypsilanti, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Herman (Marjorie) Klausing, Columbus; Mrs. Elmer (Jeanette) Klausing, Leipsic; Mrs. Carl (Bernice) Candler, Columbus Grove; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
            A homemaker, Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Anthony’s             Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, and the church’s Alter Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
            Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David A. Sartorious officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Lucinda P. Ellerbrock
Lucinda P. Ellerbrock, 65, route 1, Ft. Jennings died at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday in St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, of an extended illness.
Born April 17, 1917, in Ottoville, she was the daughter of Joseph and Anna
(Pohl) Sanders. She married Arthur B. Ellerbrock in Ottoville on August 6, 1938, and he survives.
            Also surviving  are a daughter, Carol Ellerbrock, Toledo; two sons, Gerald and Daniel Ellerbrock, Ft. Jennings; six grandchildren; two sisters, Sister Mary Silvina CPPS, Van Wert, and Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Rampe, Kalida; and two brothers, Gilbert Sanders, Delphos; ands Gerald Sanders, Kemp, Ohio; Two brothers. Sylvester and Joseph and a sister, Mary Ann Schimmoeller are deceased.
            Mrs. Ellerbrock was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings, its Alter Rosary Society, and was a member and past president of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
            Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Kolmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Delphos, where combined Alter-
Rosary and C.L. of C. services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday and the parish wake service at 8 p.m. Thursday.
            Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the church with Rev. Herman Fortman, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Mildred C. Nuttle
            Mildred C. Nuttle, 59, New Haven, Indiana, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in her home following an extended illness. She was born April 28, 1923, in Ottoville to Andy and Matilda (Sanders) Bendele. On May 8, 1943, she marred Paul Dwight Nuttle, who survives.
            Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Harter, New Haven, IN.; Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy) Derik, Antwerp; two sons, Wilfred, New Haven, IN.; Ted, Louisville, KY.; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Marcella) Ankenbruck, Ft. Wayne; Mrs. Albert (Alma) Warnement, Kalida; and two brothers, Norbert and Hubert, both of Ottoville.
            She was employed by Bennett Manufacturing Co. for 15 years and was a housewife.
            Services were held Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church, New Haven, IN.

Marcele A. Korte, 77, Ft. Jenning, died at her residence at 1 a.m. Tuesday.
She was born September 21, 1904 to Peter and Louise (Perrin) Schmitt. She married Frank H. Korte, and he died on January 31, 1977.
            Survivors include three sons, Paul, Fort Jennings; Cletus, Ottawa, Thomas, Ottoville; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Eileen) Kahle, Columbus Grove, Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Ford, Continental; three sisters, Regina Fortener, Ottoville, Ethel Honigford. Ottoville,
Bertha Greulich, Pandora; a brother, Elmer Schmitt, Fort Jennings: 34 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Fort Jennings, the Revs. Herman Fortman and Roger Bonifas officiating. Burial will he in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. A parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp and Sifert Funeral Home, Ottoville.
Mrs. Korte was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Ottoville
VFW Auxiliary, the Altar Rosary Society of the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Ottoville and Ottoville Senior Citizens.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kalida for Mary L. Wehri, 82, route 1, Ft. Jennings.
            Mrs. Wehri died at 11 a.m. Saturday in her home. The Rev. James Seibert officiated at the funeral services and burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wehri was born November 18, 1899 to Frank and Mary (Moritz) Miller. She married Frank Wehri on September 6, 1922, and he died February 8, 1981.
Surviving are three sons, Cletus and Hubert, both of Klaida, Gilbert of Delphos; eight daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Margaret) Clementz, Lima; Mrs. Joseph (Rosemary) Clementz, Kalida; Mrs. Rudy (Lucille) Schroeder, Glandorf; Mrs. William (Agnes) Ulm, Delphos; Mrs. Gerard (Leona) Youngpeter, Ft. Jennings; Mrs. Mary Ann Schimmoeller, Mrs. Norbert (Rita Jean) Boecker, both of Ottoville; Mrs. Richard (Joan) Seimet, Ottawa; 82 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Otto, Columbus Grove; Isadore, Ottoville; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Ricker, Kalida; and Mrs. Lena Dickman, and Mrs. John (Barbara) Landwehr, both of Ottoville

Armella S. Brinkman, 63, Ottoville, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home following an extended illness.
She was born August 9, 1919, in Ottoville to John and Mary (Kieffer) Klima. On June 5, 1943, she married Cletus Brinkman, who survives.
Mrs. Brinkman was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.
Survivors also include two sons, Frank and Michael, both of Fort
Jennings; five grandchildren; two brothers, Sylvester Klima, Delphos; Edward Klima, Brighton, Mich.; and three sisters, Margaret Kill, Wapakoneta; Mrs. Oscar (Gertrude) Hempfling, Delphos; and Mrs. Walter (Edna) Gray, Cleveland.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m.-Saturday at the church. The Rev.
Roger Bonifas officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Gerald H. Miller
Former Ottoville resident Gerald H. Miller, 43, died Thursday in Dayton. He had been residing in Beavercreek for several years.
He was born October 3, 1938 in Ottoville to Adolph and Regina (Weichart) Miller. His mother survives in Ottoville.
Also surviving are his mother, wife Marilyn (Siefring) Miller, and four children, Nicholas, Christopher, Josephine and Benjamin, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. John (Anna) Yaufman, Ottawa, Mrs. Ray (Elma) Kaufman, Ottoville; three brothers, Raymond and Robert, Ottoville, and John, Centerville.
Mr. Miller was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the Air Force aero-propulsion lab. He was a 1961 graduate of the University of Dayton and a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church. He was active in various church organizations.
Funeral services were held in Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek, at 10:30 a.m. Monday and a funeral Mass was held in St. Luke's Church, Beavercreek at 1 a.m. Burial was in Bryon Cemetery.

Josephine Brandehoff
Josephine Brandehoff, 87, Delphos, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born September 9, 1896 in Ottoville to Joseph and Elizabeth (Kuhlman) Plescher. On November 24, 1917, she married William A. Brandehoff who died October 8, 1972.
Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Joseph (Velma) Martin and Mrs. Mary Maas, Dayton; Mrs. Donald (Alice) Kuhn, Boston, a son, Irvin, Wilmington; nine grandchildren: three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Amelia Bechtel, Lima; three brothers, Garret Plescher, Cleveland; Henry Plescher, Tucson, Ariz., and Lee Plescher, Dos Palos, Calif.
She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and the Sacred Heart League of St. John's Catholic Church, Delphos.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Joseph A. Pittner
Joseph A. Pittner, 75, a well-known Ottoville civic leader, died a t 4:35 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born April 18, 1907, in Ottoville to John and Emma (Ott) Pittner. In June 1934 he married Hilda  B. Altenbuger, who survives.
Mr. Pittner owned and operated Pittner Garage for 55 years. He was a
member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Ottoville Fire Department for 54 years and had served as chief of the department for 24 years. He was a licensed state fire instructor and was a member of the Firemen's Dependent Board. He served as secretary-treasurer of the Ottoville Fire Board and was a member of the Putnam County Red Cross and a first aid instructor.
He was one of the organizers of the Putnam County EMS, a Putnam County EMS Representative, a member of the Putnam County Regional Health Services Inc., past president and current member and vice president of the Putnam County EMS board and a board member of the Emergency Medical Services of West Central Ohio. He was a member of Putnam County Disaster Services, Civil Defense of Putnam County; Ottawa and Delphos Amateur Radio Clubs. He was a ham radio operator for 50 years and was one of the organizers of the Ottoville park carnival.
Survivors include a son, Thomas, Delphos: two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Odenweller, Ottoville, Marge Burger, Delphos; two brothers, Andrew and John, both of Ottoville.
Mass of Christian burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, Rev. Louis Huffman officiating. Burial was in St Mary’s Cemetery.

Anna L. Miller
Former Ottoville resident Anna L. Miller, 87, died Friday morning at her residence in Scottsdale, Ariz.
She was barn in Ottoville on March 2, 1895, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Pohl) Schimmoeller. On November 17, 1914, she married Frank A. Miller, who died in 1949.
Mrs. Miller was employed at St. Luke's Hospital in Toledo for 23 years. She was, a homemaker and a past member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville.
Survivors include two sons. Eugene, Deshler: Charles, Scottsdale, Ariz.: three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Mikesell Columbus Grove; Mrs. Helen Cress, Leipsic: Mrs. Mary Weisman. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church. Rev. Gerald Stein officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.

Victor Fierstos
Former Ottoville resident Victor Fierstos, 75, died Monday at his home in
Wabash. Ind., following an extended illness.
He was the nephew of Edwin Wannemacher, Ottoville, who survives. Other survivors include his wife and two sons in Wabash, a daughter in Fort Wayne, several grandchildren: two sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Wabash.

Edward C. Langmeyer
Edward C. Langmeyer, 89, Ottoville, died at 5:16 p.m. Tuesday at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born in Delphos on December 22, 1892, the son of Henry and Anna (Wulfhorst) Langmeyer. On May 28, 1931, he married Mollie Horstman, who survives.
Mr. Langmeyer was a retired farmer and employee of the former Gramm Trailer Co. of Delphos. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, and the Holy Name Society of the church. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Continental American Legion, and Delphos Knights of Columbus.
Survivors also include a son, Charles, Payne: two daughters, Mrs. Jerome (Marita) Koester, Burnsville, Minn., Mrs. Robert (Alice) Tobens, St. Mary’s: 12 grandchildren: and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church, Rev. Gerald Stein and Rev. Herman Scherger officiating.
Burial was in St. Barbara’s Cemetery, Cloverdale. Graveside military rites were conducted by the Ottoville VFW and the Continental American Legion posts.

John A. Martin
            John A. Martin, 93, Ottoville, died at 1:05 a.m. Thursday, following an extended illness.
            He was born October 22, 1889, in Putnam County, the son of Robert A. and Jeanette M. (Harpster) Martin. He married Jennie Parson, who died in 1922.
            Mr. Martin was a retired farmer. He was a member of Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars and Van Wert Fraternal Order of Eagles.
             Survivors include a son, Rudy, Lakeview; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Lagora) Bryan, Delphos; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pearl Wieging, Ottoville.
            Services were held at 1:30 p.m. at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel. Burial was made in Antioch Cemetery.

Salome C. Bendele
            Salome C. Bendele, 70, died at 2:16 p.m. Friday at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
            She was born in Ottoville on April 8, 1912, to Martin and Lucy (Rekart) Bendele. She had retired as assistant postmaster at the Ottoville Post Office.
            Survivors include two brothers, Gerald, Lemoore, Calif.; Richard, Ottoville; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Zerkel, Mrs. Catherine Gundakunst and Mrs. Eugene (Marty) Gerdeman, all of Ottoville.
            Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Cyril G. Grubenhoff
            Cyril G. Grubenhoff, 73, route 3, Ft. Recovery, died at 3 p.m. Friday in Jay County Hospital, Portland, Indiana, following an extended illness.
            He was born February 19, 1909 in Ottoville to Henry and Mathilda (Kehres) Grubenhoff, who preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth (Davis).
            Survivors include his wife, Elva (Milthaler), five brothers, Frank and Bob, Ft. Meyers, Fl., Gilbert and Edwin, route 2, Ft. Jennings; Victor, Solon, Ohio; two sisters, Armella Rizzo, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Genevieve Alt, Tiffin.   
            Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Portland, Ind., with burial in Ft. Recovery.
