Frank Kromer, 41,
clerk of Monterey-tp, died Monday at his home in Ottoville, north of here, from
tuberculosis. Deceased was also chief executive of the Ottoville Fire
Department and a member of the C. K. of O. Survived by his widow and three children,
as well as other near kin-folk.

Ambrose Miehls, prominent citizen of
Ottoville, Putnam co, who has been at St. Rita’s Hospital, where he was
subjected to a serious operation. Has recovered and was able to return to his
home Thursday.

Ottoville Pastor Buried at Cincinnati
Delphos – (Special) – Rev. Frederick
F. Rupert, pastor of St. John’s church here and Rev. Irwin Burkhardt, assistant
pastor, with Rev. Father Arnoldi, pastor of the church at Ottoville, officiated
at the funeral services for Rev. Fathr Leo Hertzog, former pastor of Ottoville
church, at Cincinnati, Friday. Rev. Rupert delivered the sermon.
Up to four months ago the deceased
was in charge of the Ottoville parish. Death occurred while he was on his way
to Denver, where he expected to get relief from tuberculosis.

Delphos Wins
Delphos – the Delphos baseball club
wrecked the hopes of Ottoville and their “Smokey” Wannemacher with a vengeance
Sunday, When they won their third straight from the visiting team to the tune
of 13 to 3. Brown pitched a wonderful game for the locals, and had he had
support would have shut out the visitors, who scored all their runs in the
first on errors.

George Brandehoff, 37, farmer, the
father of four children, a son of John Brandehoff, passed away at his home on a
farm near Ottoville Sunday after a 6-day illness and two days after an
operation for appendicitis.

Nonagenarian Dies
Delphos – Louis Landwehr, 92, one of
the oldest citizens of Putnam-co, died at his home in Ottoville. He was a
native of Hanover, Germany.

Joe Wannemacher, Main-st hardware
clerk, visited recently in his old home town of Ottoville and watched a football
squad working out.
The instructor was an elderly man,
very dignified. The athletic field was near a pond, small but deep. The coach
was demonstrating an end run with the ball.
“He did not know he was so near the
pond,” ---Joe said, “until he plunged into the water. There was nothing doing
the remainder of the day in the direction of instruction for the squad.”

Four autos, owned by Ed Odenweller
of Ottoville, Palmer George, Wm. Wreede and Joe Weisgerber of Delphos were
damaged in a mixup on Main-St here, when the George car crashed against the
Odenweller auto, throwing it forward and striking two others.
