Death Calls Aged Putnam County Lady
Mrs. Elizabeth May Hoersten Passes Away At Home Near Ottoville --- Death Due To Heart Disease --- Funeral Services Thursday --- Burial In St. Marys Cemetery at Ottoville.
        Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Hoersten passed away at 6:30 Sunday morning at the family home two miles northwest of Ottoville, her death being due to heart disease.
        She had been in failing health for several months past but had not been in serious condition until about two weeks ago, since which time she had been confined to bed.
        Elizabeth Kramer was born at Hopsten, Prussia, July 13, 1849. She came to America in November, 1866, at the age of seventeen. On October 17, 1872, she was married to Florenz Hoersten at Cincinnati.
        They moved to Putnam County the following spring and settled on a farm two miles northwest of Ottoville.
        Her husband died eight years ago last February. Two children have also preceded her in death, dying in infancy.
        She is survived by four daughters, Christine, Theresa, Mary and Philomine, and by five sons, Joseph, John, George, Louis and Frank, all of Ottoville. One brother, Herman Kramer. Of Cincinnati, and eighteen grandchildren also survive.
        Mrs. Hoersten was a lifelong Catholic and was a member of the Alter Society.
        Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church at Ottoville and burial will be made in St. Marys cemetery at that place.
