Andrew OttAndrew Ott Dies At Home Of Daughter
Undergoes Operation Sunday Afternoon — Death Occurs Monday Morning at 12:30 O'Clock at Home of Mr. and Mrs. John Pittner — Funeral Wednesday Morning at 9:30 O'Clock at Immaculate Conception Church at Ottoville
Andrew Ott passed
away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Pittner at Ottoville Monday morning
at 12:30 o'clock. He underwent an operation Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at
the Pittner home. He was ninety-one years and nine days of age at the time of
his death.
Mr. Ott was born
at Bavaria, Germany on January 7, 1837. He together, with his parents, one
brother, George, and his sister, Rosa, immigrated to America in 1853 first
locating in Morrow county. They lived at that place for a short time when they
moved to Junction in Paulding county, where they established their home on a
farm. He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Dick in 1862. This union was
blessed with nine children.
Mrs. Ott preceded her husband in death about
six years ago.
In the year 1865
Mr. Ott enlisted in the Civil War, volunteering his services to the time he was
honorably discharged. He was engaged during life and an agriculturist,
stockraiser, wagon maker and blacksmith.
In 1910, the
family moved to Ottoville where Mr. Ott lived a retired life. After the death
of his wife, he made his abode with his youngest daughter, Mrs. John Pittner,
at that place.
Five children
preceded the father in death.
Surviving to mourn
his death, are the following: Mrs. Mary Shines, of Toledo; Joseph Ott, Delphos;
Mrs. Pete Justinger, Junction; and Mrs. John Pittner, at whose home he passed
away.
The deceased man
was a member of the St. Joseph's society. Funeral services will be held
Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock in the Immaculate Conception church at
Ottoville. Interment will be made in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Anna M. SchwinnenMrs. Schwinnen Dies Following Long Illness
Death Occurs at 4:30 O'clock at the Family Residence at Landeck — Was in ill Health for One Year Prior to Her Death — Funeral Services at 9:30 Eastern Time Tuesday Morning at St. John's at Landeck— Burial at Landeck
Mrs.
Anna M. Schwinnen was called to her reward Friday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock at
her home at Landeck following a protracted illness. She was in ill health for
about a year prior to her demise, although she was confined to her bed only until
about two weeks ago. Her death was due to heart trouble and complication of
diseases. She was sixty-four years, eleven months and two days of age at the
time of her death.
The deceased lady was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Krebs and was born at Ottoville on February 25, 1863. While residing at
Ottoville she was united in marriage to John Schwinnen on August 3, 1880. For
the past forty-six years they resided at Landeck where her death occurred. Ten
children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Schwinnen two having preceded the mother in
death.
Surviving, to mourn
her death are her husband, John Schwinnen, Landeck; and the following children,
Charles Schwinnen, Sandusky; Mr E. C. Carey, Chicago; Mrs. G. E. MacLaughlin,
Chicago; Mrs. Syl Bonifas, Landeck; Miss Adeline Schwinnen, Chicago; Amedeus
Schwinnen, Lima; Clarence Schwinnen, Chicago; Mrs. Oscar Ireland, Landeck.
Three sisters, Mrs.
Frank Metzger, South Bredeick street; Mrs. Will
Fetzer, North Canal street, and Mrs. John
Weger, of Lima, North McDonald street, and fifteen grandchildren are also left
to mourn her death. One daughter, Mrs. Ed Yochum, of Landeck, and, Joseph
Schwinnen passed away a number of years ago.
Mrs. Schwinnen was
a faithful, and devout member of St. John's Catholic church and was affiliated
with the C. L. of C. lodge.
Funeral services
will take place at St. John's Catholic church at Landeck Tuesday morning at
9:30 o'clock Eastern time. Interment will be made in St. John's cemetery.

C. H. Hilvers Dies Thursday Morning at 3:35 O'clock from an Attack of Influenza — Was a Prominent Citizen of Ottoville –Funeral Monday Morning at 9:00 O’clock at Immaculate Conception Church — Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery
C. H. Hilvers
passed away at his home west of Ottoville Thursday morning at 3:35 o'clock
following an illness of about a week. He had taken ill with influenza, which
later developed into complications. He was 60 years, three, months and six days
Mr. Hilvers was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hilvers
now long deceased and was born, at Ottoville Dec. 16, 1867. His entire life was spent in the vicinity of
Ottoville and he was numbered among the most prominent residents of that place.
He worked zealously in supporting all movements of public benefits. He was
united in marriage to Miss Mary
Eickholt on February 19, 1895, at Maple
Grove, Mich. To this union six children were born.
Surviving to mourn
his death are his widow, six children, Alex B. Hilvers, Mrs. Reginia Schweller, Ottoville; Edwin,
Stephen, Lauretta and Clara, at home; one brother Anthony Hilvers, of
Ottoville; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Koester, and Mrs. John Schulte, of
Ottoville, and seven grandchildren.
He was a faithful
member of the Immaculate Conception churh at Ottoville and served as councilman
for a number of years. He was also a member of St. Joseph's Sodality and of the
Catholic Knights of Ohio.
Funeral services
will take place Monday morning at nine o'clock at the Immaculate Conception
Church. Rev. J. S. Arnoldi will officiate. Burial will be made in St. Mary’s
cemetery.

Death Occurs Tuesday Evening at Eight O' Clock Following a Year's Illness — Infirmities Due to Advanced Age Cause Death — Funeral Services Monday Morning at Nine O' Clock at Immaculate Conception Church
Mrs. Mary Schurer
passed away at her home 1½ miles west of Ottoville Tuesday evening at eight
o'clock. She had been bedfast for the past year and her death was caused by
infirmities of old age.
She was born in
Switzerland March 13, 1847 and was 80 years and 20 days of age at the time of
her demise. She was married to Baltas Schurer at Ottoville, Ohio, Nov. 3, 59
years ago. They spent their entire life on the farm. To this union nine
children were
born, five dieing in infancy and one daughter,
Mrs. Anna Wannemacher passing away a year ago.
Left to mourn her
death are her husband, Baltas Schurer, two sons, John and Joseph,
and one daughter, Mrs. Jacob Studer, all of Ottoville. Mrs. Schurer was a
faithful member of the Catholic church and was affiliated, with the Altar
Sodality.
Funeral services
will be held at the Immaculate Conception church at Ottoville, on Monday
morning at 9 o' clock.

Funeral services
for Ludwina Beining, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Beining, were held.
Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception church at
Ottoville. Rev. Fr. J. S. Arnoldi celebrated the requiem mass and also
delivered the funeral sermon.
A large concourse
of relatives and friends gathered at the church to pay last tribute of respect
to her memory. A profusion of floral and spiritual offerings were tendered.
Burial was made in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Ludwina Beining
passed away at the family residence at Ottoville Tuesday morning at 4:25
o'clock. The child had been ill since last fall, suffering from a growth
on the eye. At that time, an operation was performed and the eye was removed in
order to prolong the life of the deceased girl. She never recovered from this
affliction. She became seriously ill last Monday and her condition was serious
from that time until her death occurred, at the hour stated above. She was two
years, seven months and nineteen days of ago at the time her death occurred.
Ludwina was born to
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Ludwina on September 4, 1925 at Ottoville. The parents are
receiving the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends.
The following
survive in addition to the parents, one brother, Julius, and, two sisters,
Leona and Edna, at home. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beining, and Gebhard Gasser, East
Third street, grandparents, also survive.

George Wenzlick Succumbs at Family Residence after Illness of Two Weeks — Death Results from Pneumonia—Funeral Services Monday Morning at 9:00 O' Clock at Immaculate Conception Church — Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery
George Wenzlick
passed away at the family residence two and a half miles northwest of
Ottoville, Thursday evening. He was bedfast for two weeks prior to his death
suffering from an attack of pneumonia. He was fifty-six years, six months and
thirteen days of age when his death came.
Mr. Wenzlick was
born at New Washington, Ohio. November 24, 1871. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Bartholomew Wenzlick now long deceased. He was united in marriage to Miss
Elizabeth Deitering at the Immaculate Conception church at Ottoville on April
19, 1904. Practically, his entire life was spent near Ottoville.
He leaves to mourn
his death his widow, two sons, Harmon and Lawrence Wenzlick, and two daughters,
Caroline and Regina Wenzlick, all at home; five brothers, Thomas Wenzlick of
New Washington, Andrew and John Wenzlick, of Cheasaning, Mich.; Frank and
Joseph Wenzlick, of Roneo, Mich.; and two sisters, Mrs. John Trueber, of Milan,
Mich.; and Mrs. W. M. Durnwald, of New Washington.
Funeral services
will take place Monday morning lit the Immaculate Conception church at
Ottoville at 9:00 o'clock. Interment will be made in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Mrs. Josephine
Rekart passed away at her home at Ottoville Monday morning at 2:00 o’clock
after an illness of two months. Her death was due to cirrhosis of the liver.
She was seventy-seven years, eight months and twenty-seven days of age when her
death came.
The deceased lady
was born in Alsace-Lorraine, on September 14, 1850. She was the daughter of
Morand and Catherine Sellet. When she was four years of age, she came to
America with her parents, first settling in Seneca county near Fostoria. When
she was ten years of age, they moved to Ottoville. She was
united in marriage to Joseph Rekart at Ottoville, October 1874. Her entire
married life was spent on a farm east of Ottoville until twelve years ago when
they, moved into town.
Mr. Rekart
preceded his wife in death nine years ago.
She leaves to
mourn her death the following children: William H. Rekart, Ottoville; Miss Anna
Rekart, at home; Mrs. Mayme Wurst, Ottoville; Edward Rekart, Monroeville; Ohio, Mrs. Catherine Fourmier
and Mrs. Rose Weissenberger, of .Toledo;
Frank Rekart, of Ottoville; Sr. Mary Josepha,
of Carrol, Iowa; Mrs. Olivet Acker, of Toledo. One sister, Mrs. Regina
Wannemacher and one brother, Oliver Sellet, of Ottoville, and thirty-five
grandchildren are also left to mourn her death. One son, Charles: Rekart,
passed away twelve years ago.
Funeral services
will take place Thursday morning at nine o'clock, at the Immaculate Conception
Church at Ottoville. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.

She was born in
Germany October 13, 1837. When she was twenty-four years of age she was united in marriage to Paul
Schneeg. Mr. Schneeg passed away twenty years ago.
She leaves to mourn
her death four sons, Anton and Paul Schneeg, at home; Joseph and William
Schneeg; of Ottoville; and two daughters, Miss Barbara Schneeg, at
home; and Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, of Tiffin.
Funeral services
will take place Saturday morning at nine o'clock at the Immaculate Conception
church at Ottoville. Burial will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mrs. John
Wannemaker, a well-known resident of two miles west of Ottoville, passed away
at the family residence Thursday morning at 11:30 o'clock following an illness
of a few months. Mrs. Wannemacker was in ill health for the past several
months. She was bedfast and in a serious condition for the past two months. Her
death resulted from a Complication of diseases. She was sixty-six years, one
month and twenty-three days of age when her death occurred.
Miss Emilia Reckart
was born at Ottoville in, the year of 1862 and her entire life was spent on a
farm near Ottoville. She was united in marriage to John Wannemaker at the
Immaculate Conception, church at Ottoville; June 21, 1881. To this union nine
children were born, one son, Joseph, passing away a number of years ago.
She leaves to
mourn her death her husband and five sons, Henry, Sylvester, Albert, Leo and
Lawrence, of Ottoville and Vincent, of Fort Wayne, two daughters, Mrs. Flo
Friemoth, of Freimont and Mrs. M. E. Shoemaker, of Ottoville; and one sister,
Mrs. John Zahm, of Ottoville. One brother, William Reckart preceded her in
death a number of years ago.
Mrs. Wannemaker
was the sister of the late Mrs. H, W. Beckman, of Delphos, and was well known
in this city. Her many friends and acquaintances will be sorry to learn of her
demise.

will take place Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception
church at Ottoville. Burial will take place in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mrs. Mary
Fuerst, wife of the late Anthony Fuerst, was called to her reward Tuesday
evening at 7:25 o'clock at the home of' her daughter, Mrs. Ed. Lehmkuhle, 834
North Washington street. Mrs. Fuerst was in failing health for over a year past
although her condition was not considered serious. She was confined to her bed
and was in a critical condition for about a week. Her death was due to
complication. She was seventy years, six months and fourteen days of age when
her death occurred.
Miss Mary Heitkamp
was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Heitkamp and was born at Ottoville on
March 11, 1858. She was united in marriage to Anthony Fuerst at Ottoville about
fifty years ago, Mr. Fuerst preceding her in death on July 24, 1922. The deceased
lady resided at Cloverdale and Landeck before moving to Delphos. They resided
at Landeck for about twelve years moving to this city to establish her home in
the year 1924. Two daughters, Catherine and Tecla and one son, John, preceded
the mother in death.
She leaves to
mourn her death two daughters, Mrs. Ed. Lehmkuhle, at whose home her death
occurred and Mrs. Otto Lindeman; two sons, Frank Fuerst, Columbus Grove, and
Conrad Fuerst, Spencerville; one brother, John
Heitkamp, of Saginaw, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Adolf Kohler, Lima; thirteen
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The deceased lady
was a faithful member of St. John's Catholic Church and was affiliated with the
Sacred Heart league and the Christian Mother’s Society with her membership at
Kalida.
Funeral services
will take place Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. John's Catholic church.
Interment will be made in the Landeck cemetery.

Rudolph
J. Wurst was called to his reward
Sunday morning at eight-thirty o'clock at the home of his mother, Mrs. Henry D.
Wurst, at Ottoville. He was in failing health for some time past and his death
was due to a complication of diseases.
He was thirty
years and seven months of age when his death occurred.
Mr. Wurst was the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Wurst and was born on a farm three miles northwest
of Ottoville, March 28, 1898. The greater portion of his life was spent on a
farm until eight years ago when the family moved to town. He was engaged in the
hatchery business with his brother, Frank Wurst. He is well known in Ottoville,
Delphos and surrounding country and his many friends will be sorry
to learn of his demise.
He leaves, his
mother, two brothers, Frank, of Ottoville, and Ed. Wurst, of Delphos; and eight
sisters, Misses Bernadine and Anne Wurst, of Toledo; Mrs. Martha.. Wessell, of
Dayton; Mrs. Laura Stallkamp, Mrs. Regina German and Mrs. Marian Klausing,
of Delphos; Mrs. Margaret Klausing, of Ottoville and Mrs. Cecilia Fortener, at
home.
Funeral services
will take place Wednesday morning at nine o'clock at the Immaculate Conception
church at Ottoville. Burial will be made in St. Mary’s cemetery.

year. Her death was due to a complication of diseases. She was sixty-seven
years and twenty-five days of age when her death occurred.
Miss Anna Schneider
was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Schneider now deceased. She was born at
Ottoville on Oct. 14, 1861, and her entire life was spent at that place. Her
marriage to J. C. Wannemacher took place at Ottoville on May 8, 1888. Mrs.
Wannemacher was widely known at Ottoville, Delphos and surrounding places.
She leaves to mourn
her death her husband, three sons, Martin, of Detroit, Urban, of Ottoville, and
Arnold at home; four daughters, Sr. M, Antoinette, of Minster, Mrs. George
Auer, of Cleveland, Miss Eleanore Wannemacher, of Cincinnati, and Mrs. George
King, of Ottoville. Four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Freiburger, of Ottoville, Mrs. B.
V. Green, of Monroe, Mich., Mrs. John Barrelsman, of Delphos, and Mrs. William
Connolly, of Monroe, Mich.; and one brother, John Schneider, of Ottoville, and
ten grandchildren also survive.
Funeral
arrangements have not as yet been completed.

Mrs. Regina Wannemacher
passed away at her home at Ottoville at 10:00 o'clock Saturday morning, her
death being caused by pleurisy and infirmities due to her advanced ago.
Mrs. Wannemacher
was born in Alsace-Lorraine on October 6, 1847, and was 81 years, 2 months and 16
days of age at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Morand Sellet and came to this country with her parents while she was still
young. She spent practically her entire life at Ottoville. She was married to
Benedict Wannemacher at the Immaculate Conception church at Ottoville on
February 4, 1868. Her husband and one son, Edward, and one daughter,
Agnes, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Louis, of Ottoville,
and Matthias, of Toledo; three daughters. Mrs. Mary Martin, of Holla, Mo.; Mrs.
Rosella Lane, Dayton; and Mrs. Catherine Vincke, Ottoville; one brother, Oliver
Sellet, Ottoville; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services
will be held at Immaculate Conception Church at Ottoville at 9:00 o'clock
Wednesday morning. Burial will be made in St. Mary's cemetery at that place.

Mrs. Clara Schlagbaum Dies from Infirmities of Old Age — Past Eighty-two Years of Age when, Death Occurs — Funeral Wednesday Morning at 9:00 O'clock at, Immaculate Conception Church — Interment in St.' Mary's Cemetery
Mrs. Clara
Schlagbaum, of Ottoville, passed away at her home at Ottoville from infirmities
due to her advanced age. She was eighty-two years, five months and five days of
age when her death occurred.
The deceased lady was born in Hanover, Germany, on
July 25, 1840, to Ferdinand and Mary C. Grewe. When she was seven years of age,
she came to America with her parents, first settling at Delphos. She made this city her; home
until after her marriage to Bernard Helmkamp, which, took place on June 6,
1866. To this union, two children were born. Mr. Helmkamp died
a number of years ago.
She was united in marriage to Bernard, Schlagbaum on
February 12, 1874. Following this marriage the family moved to a farm
three-fourths of a mile east of Ottoville, where her death occurred. Six
children were born to this union. Mr.
Schlagbaum one son, George, and a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Altenburger, preceded her
in death.
She leaves to
mourn her death the following: Mrs. John Giesken, Mrs. Frank Ruen and Mrs. John
Kehres, of Ottoville, Miss Louise Schlagbaum, of Cloverdale; two sons, Frank
Schlagbaum, of Fort Wayne; and Joseph Schlagbaum, of Ottoville; forty-two
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services
will take place Wednesday morning at 9:00 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception
church. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
