Mrs. Susan
Berelsman, 76, of 150 W. First st, died at 9:20 p. m. Tuesday in her home,
following a short illness.
She was born Apr.
16, 1873, in Ottoville, and was a member of St. John's Catholic church. Her
husband, John Berelsman, died in 1929.
Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Hilda Brunswick and Mrs. Alma Vogt, both of Delphos; two sons,
Sylvester, at home, and Verlo, Delphos; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs.
Elizabeth Conway, Ypsilanti, Mich.
Requiem high mass
will be sung at 9:30 a. m. Saturday in St. John's church, with burial in the
church cemetery. The body will remain in Kolkmeyer funeral home until services.

Mrs. Elizabeth C. Klima,
66, died unexpectedly at 5 a. m. Saturday, following a heart attack suffered at
the home of her son-in-law, Clarence Maag.
Mrs. Klima was born
Oct. 14, 1883, the daughter of John and Caroline Sanders.
Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Maag and Mrs. Joseph Klima, of Ottawa, three sisters, Mrs.
Louise Snyder, Mrs. William Bigelow and Mrs. Andrew Bendele, all of Ottoville,
one brother, John Sanders and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at
9 a. m. Tuesday in the Immaculate Conception church, with burial in the church
cemetery. Friends may call at the Maag residence.

Former Ottoville Resident Dies
Mrs. Josephine
Salomon died at St. Joseph's hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Monday at 6:45 p.
m.
She was born in
Ottoville the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Wannemacher, both deceased. At the
time of her death, she was 67 years of age.
Surviving, arc her
husband, Wilburt, one daughter, Mrs. Martha Lou Bohlander, and one grandson,
Perry, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Henry Brown, Mrs. Isey
Kiser and Mrs. Bernard Wellington, all of Findlay, Mrs. Isadore Best, Fort
Wayne, Godfrey Wannemacher, Greenville, Pa., Fred Wannemacher, Cincinnati, and
Ralph
Wannemacher, Dayton.
Funeral services
will he held at the Most Precious Blood Church in Fort Wayne, Thursday at 9:00
a. m.

William
Wannemacher, 64, a native of Ottoville, died at his home in Bakersfield,
Calif., Sunday, as the result of a heart attack, according to word received by
relatives in this county.
Definite
word pertaining to the funeral was not received by local relatives. Last rites
and burial took place in Bakersfield.
Mr.
Wannemacher is survived by his wife; a son, of Bakersfield; his father, Henry
Wannemacher, of Ottoville; and 11 brothers and sisters; Mrs. George Fierstos,
Wabash, Ind.; Al Wannemacher, Grand Rapids, Ohio; S. R, Wannemacher, Wauseon;
Mrs. Charles Bendele, Ft. Wayne; Edwin and Robert Wannemacher, Ottoville; Mrs.
Otto Lauer, Detroit; Gilbert Wannemacher, Ann Harbor, Mich.; Otmer Wannemacher
and Mrs. Bernard Ricker, Delphos, and Mrs. Royce Baxter, Van Wert.
He was the
first of a family of twelve children to pass away. His mother died several
years ago.

Angel mass for Terry
Dean Brinkman, 8-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brinkman, here, will be
celebrated at 8:20 a. m. Monday. The service will be conducted in the Church of
the Immaculate Conception with burial in the church cemetery.
The infant died at
3:05 a. m. Saturday in St. Rita's hospital. In addition to his parents he is
survived by his paternal grandmother Mrs. Hannah Brinkman and, Delphos, and
maternal grandfather, Ben Raymond, Ottoville.
The body will
remain at the Brinkman residence, Ottoville until services. Arrangements are in
charge of the Kolkmeyer funeral home, Delphos.

Catherine Miller
Miss Catherine A.
Miller, 61, cashier in the Ottoville bank for the past nine years, died
unexpectedly at 6:15 a .m. Saturday of a heart attack. Miss Miller died in her
home.
She was born in
Ottoville and had been an employee of the bank as a teller before accepting the
cashier's post nine years ago.
Surviving are three
sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Mershman, Celina; Mrs. J. F. Ockuly, Delphos, and Miss
Margaret Miller, Ottoville: three brothers, Ed and Alex J. of Ottoville
and R. J.. Celina.
The body will be
removed from the Kolkmeyer funeral home, Delphos, to the residence, in
Ottoville Sunday morning, to remain until services. Requiem high mass will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of the Immaculate Conception in
Ottoville. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Estella A. Miller
Funeral
services for Mrs. Estella Anna Miller, 50, wife of Joseph Miller, here, will be
held in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will
be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
She died at
9:48 p.m. Saturday at Lima St. Rita's Hospital from pneumonia. She was ill for
the past year. Born Feb. 5, 1900, she was the daughter of Gebhart and Anna Gasser.
Her marriage to Joseph Miller was an event of Feb. 17, 1920, at Ottoville. She
was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Surviving
are two daughters and three sons including Mrs. Patrick Bergfeld, Lima, and
Miss Marjorie Miller, at home; Joseph and Roger, of Ottoville and Orville, of
Lima; two sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Rose Bensman, Ottoville; Mrs. Oliver
Beining, Route 1, Ft. Jennings; Oliver, Delphos; Frank and William, Ottoville,
Gebhart Jr., Route 1, Ft. Jennings.
The body
will be removed from the Kolkmeyer funeral home to the family home Monday
afternoon.

Adele Horstman
Funeral
services were held Wednesday morning in the Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church at Ottoville for Mrs. Adala R. Horstman, 65, who died suddenly Sunday in
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Beatrice McGrath in Battle Creek, Michigan.
A native of
Ottoville, Mrs. Horstman was born on April 19, 1884, a daughter of Frank and
Mary Krebs. She was married to Hubert G. Horstman, who preceded her in death.
The family resided in Ottawa for a number of years and then moved to Dayton. In
addition to the daughter, Mrs. Horstman is survived by a son, Harold, of
Chicago, Illinois; two grandchildren; a brother, Jake Krebs, Lima; and a
sister, Veronica, of Los Angeles, Calif.
The remains
were interred in the Catholic Cemetery at Ottoville.

Requiem High mass
for Mrs. Alice Frances Murray, 37, wife of Oliver Muray, Route 1, Lafayette
will be entoned at 9:30 a. m. Friday in our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church,
Ada. Burial will be made in St. John's Catholic cemetery, Delphos. The Rev.
Richard Flock, pastor of the Ada congregation, will officiate.
Mrs. Murray died
at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Rita's hospital.
Born at Ottoville
on April 10, 1912, she was a daughter of Joseph and Matilda Hoffman of Rimer.
She was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes church, Ada; the NCCW of Ada and
the Lima Branch of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
Besides her
husband and parents, surviving are their, children, Elizabeth, of Toledo Notre
Dame Novitiate; John, Dorothy Patrick, James, William, Ruth Ann, Margaret,
Beverly, Timothy, Edward, Philip and Allen all at home; five brothers, Fred
Miller City; John, Delphos; Louis, Kalida;
Lawrence, Kalida; Ralph, New Cleveland; survive two sisters, Mrs. James Toujei
and Mrs. Forrest Coffee, of Lima. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoffman of
Rimer, also survive.
The body will
remain at the Kolkmeyer funeral home until p. m. Thursday when it will be
removed to the Catholic parish at Ada.

Catherine Vincke
Mrs. Catherine Mary
Vincke, 72, wife of Joseph Vincke, 955 N. Elizabeth-st, died at 3:40 a. m.
Saturday in St. Rita's hospital, he had been a patient at the hospital since
Feb. 22, and had been ill for the past two years.
Mrs. Vincke was
born in Ottoville and marked her 72nd birthday anniversary Friday. She had been
a resident of Lima for 31 years. Mrs. Vincke was a member of St. Gerard's
Catholic church and the Altar society of the church.
Surviving in addition
to her husband are three sons, Elvin, at home; Lester, 694 N. West-st, and
Cletus, Hampton, Va.; a daughter, Rose Marie, at home: six grandchildren, and a
brother, Frank Zahm, 955 N. Elizabeth-st.
The body will be
removed from the Cantwell mortuary Saturday afternoon to the residence to
remain until services. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m.
Tuesday in St. Gerard’s church with the Rev. J. L. Cotter officiating. Burial
will be in Gethsemeni cemetery.

Mille Niedecken
Funeral services
for Mrs. Amelia Niedecken, 61, retired businesswoman here, will be held at 10
a. m. Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic church with Rev. Henry Gerwert
officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, south of Ottoville.
Mrs. Niedecken died
at noon Friday at the home of a son, Joseph, after an illness of several
months. She was the operator of Millie's cafe here until she retired several
years ago.
Born Mar. 8, 1889,
she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Otte and was married Oct.
21, 1908, to Harry Niedecken. He died
Aug. 14, 1949.
Besides her church
affiliations she was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
Three children
survive. They are Mrs. Colleen Kramer, Mrs. Jane Maag and Joseph Niedecken, all
of here. Two sisters, Mrs. Alex Cavelage and Mrs. Ralph Siler of Lima also
survive.
The body will be
removed to the former Joseph Otte residence in Ottoville Saturday afternoon
where it will remain until services.

Last rites will be
held at 10 a. m. Monday in St.
John's Catholic church here for Mrs. Ida Kalt, 71. Burial will be made in the
church cemetery. The body will remain t the Harter and Son funeral home until
time for services.
Mrs. Kalt, wife of
Frank Kalt, 234 E. Fourth-st, died in St. Rita's hospital at Lima at 2:15 p. m.
Friday. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.
Born at Ottoville
Apr. 16, 1878, she was a member of St. John's Catholic church and the Sacred
Heart League here.
Surviving are her
husband; a daughter, Mrs. Leone Bocian, Toledo; a son, Irvin, Dayton; three
sisters, Mrs. W. T. Remlinger, Ottoville; Miss Callie Huysman, Toledo; Mrs. G.
R. McLay, Los Angeles, Calif., and two brothers, Henry, of Kalamazoo, Mich.,

64, Delphos, died at 3:30 a. m. Tuesday in St. Rita's hospital, where he had
been a patient since Apr. 12.
He was born in
Ottoville and was married to Johanna Brinkman, Ft. Jennings, Oct. 2, 1907. She
survives.
He was member of
the St. John's Catholic church, Delphos.
In addition to his
widow he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elbert Grothouse. Mrs. Lawrence Etter and Mrs. James Cooley,
all of Delphos, and Mrs. Urhman Kriegel 857 Belletontaine-av; three sons,
Walter and William, at home, and Leo, Delphos; a sister, Mrs. W. J. Klima,
Ottoville, and a brother, George, Delphos.
The body has been
removed from the Kollemeyer funeral home, Delphos, to the residence to remain
until services at 9:15 a. m. Friday in St. John's church.
Burial will be in
the church cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Ann
Brinkman, 80, Ottoville, died at 7:15 p. m. Sunday in a Toledo hospital
following an extended illness. Mrs. Brinkman was preceded in death by her
husband, Gerhard.
Surviving are eight
daughters, Mrs. Joseph Kreitemeier and Mrs. Fred Koch, Columbus Grove; Mrs.
Albert Hempfling, Delphos; Mrs. Isadore Friemoth and Mrs. Cornell Martz,
Ottoville; Mrs. Frank Fenbert, Ft. Jennings; Sister Mary Mathews, Norwood; Mrs.
Edward Began, Hornville, N. Y.; three sons, Ben, Tiffin; Joseph, Delphos, and
Alex, Youngstown. Six children are dead.
The body will,
remain at the Kolkmeyer funeral home, Delphos, pending completion of
arrangements.

Funeral services
for infant Joseph Trenkamp, son of John and Marguerite
Trenkamp, of near Ottoville, were held in St.
Marys cemetery, south of Ottoville, Monday morning.
The Rev. Leo Frey,
of Immaculate Conception Catholic church, Ottoville, officiated at graveside
services. The child died six hours after birth at 11:30 p. m. Saturday in St.
Rita's hospital, Lima. Surviving are his parents and a brother, Thomas, and
grandparents, Mrs. Anna Trenkamp, Ottoville, and Mrs. Mary Boehmer, of Ft.
Jennings. The Kolkmeyer funeral home was in charge of the services.

Mrs. Wilhelmina
Holdgreve, 72, wife of Otto Holdgreve, Delphos, died at 7 p. m. Sunday in St.
Rita's hospital after an illness of six weeks.
She was born in
Ottoville and was married Nov. 18, 1902, to Otto Holdgreve, who survives.
She was a member of
the Sacred Heart league and the Altar society of St. John's Catholic church,
Delphos.
Surviving are a
son, Dr. E. T. Holdgreve, Kenton; Mrs. Lawrence Joann, Custer; Mrs. Arnold
Laut, LakeWood; Odelia, at home; Mrs. Arthur Hogan, 548 Marian-av; Mrs. M. J.
Lehman, Delphos, and Mrs. Raymond Micham, Toledo; a sister, Mrs. Clarence
Miller, Columbus Grove: two brothers, Joseph Bendele, Delphos and Martin
Bendele, Ottoville, and 14 grandchildren.
The body will
remain at the Kolkmeyer funeral home, Delphos, until services at 9 a. m.
Wednesday in St. Joseph's chapel. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery,
Delphos.

John G. Schmersal,
77, of 530 Hazel-av, died at 2 a. m. Tuesday in St Rita's hospital following a
six-month illness.
Born in Ottoville,
he moved to Lima 30 years ago from Delphos.
Mr. Schmersal was
employed as a millwright at Meadow Gold dairy. He was a member of St. Rose
Catholic church and the Holy Name society.
Surviving are his
widow, Emma; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Longmeier, Harding-hy; a nephew, Dennis
Collins, at home; a brother, Joseph, Ottawa, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Scharf,
Norfolk. A son, Clarence, died five months ago.
The body will
remain in Hogenkamp funeral home until solemn requiem high mass at 10 a. m.
Friday in St. Rose church. Msgr. James S. Elder will be celebrant with burial
in Gethsemani cemetery Two nephews, the Revs Bertrand J. Shenk and Joseph
Shenk, will serve as deacon and sub-deacon for the mass.
Rosary will be
recited by members of the Holy Name society at 8 p. m. Thursday in the funeral
home.

John H. Giesken
John H. Giesken,
72, of Route 1, Venedocia, died at 4:25 p. m. Thursday at St. Joseph's
hospital, Ft. Wayne, Ind. He had been a patient there since June 28 when he suffered
a heart attack.
He was a member of
St. John's Catholic church, Landeck the Delphos Knights of Columbus Lodge and
was engaged in farming.
He was married
Aug. 12, 1909 to Rosa Schlagbaum, who survives with three daughters, Mrs. Emma
Schwinnen, Venedocia; Mrs. Rosemary Niemeyer, Ft. Jennings and Rosemary, at
home; five sons, Alvey, Paulding; Ambrose, Clarence, Julius
and John, at home.
A brother and
sister, Mrs. Joseph Otte and Louis Giesken, of Chesaning, Mich., also survive.
Funeral services
will be held at 9 a. m. Monday in St. John's Catholic church at Landeck with
burial in St. Marys cemetery, Ottoville. The Rev. Robert Knoefle,
pastor of the church, will officiate. The
body will be at the Kolkmeyer funeral home until
services.

Hubert Sellet
Rim Injury Fatal To Ottoville Man
Hubert J. Sellett,
38, Ottoville, died at 2 p. m. Friday in St. Rita's hospital of head injuries
received July 14 when a tire rim flew off a casing.
Sellet was working
at a garage owned by his brother, Alfred, in Ottoville when the fatal accident
occurred. He was filling an automobile tire when the rim let go.
He was born Apr.
22, 1912, in Ottoville, and was married in 1945 to Florence M. Kirchofer, who
survives. During World War II he served as an antiaircraft corporal in Africa
and Europe.
Sellet was a member
of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Ottoville and of the Immaculate Conception
church.
In addition to his
widow and brother, surviving are two children, James George and William Irvin;
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Sellet, Ottoville; two sisters, Mrs. Florentine
Warnecke and Mrs. Mary Lou Vetter, both of Ottoville.
The body will
remain in Kolkmeyer funeral home, Delphos, until requiem high mass at 10 a. m.
Monday in Immaculate Conception church. Burial will be in St. Mary's,
Ottoville.

Mathias Klein
Mathias
Klein, 70, died suddenly in Lima, St. Rita’s Hospital at 7 a.m. Monday of a
heart condition. He had become ill at his home in Ottoville Sunday and was
taken to the hospital.
Last rites were held at 9 a.m.
Thursday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville. Rev Henry
Gerwert officiated and burial was made in St. Mary’s cemetery at Ottoville.
Mr. Klein was born in Ottoville on
April 6, 1871, a son of Henry and Margaret Klein. He married Anna Krebs on
October 2, 1894, and she survives with a half-brother, John Fischbach of
Delphos. Two children, Henry and Catherine are dead.
He was a member of the Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church and of the St. Joseph Society of this parish. He was
a retired farmer.

Mrs. Christina E.
Alspaugh, 67, of. 515 N. Jefferson-st died at 5 p. m. Saturday in Memorial
hospital. She was admitted to the hospital Friday.
Mrs. Alspaugh was
born in Ottoville, Jan. 22, 1883 and had been a resident of Lima 26 years. She
was the widow of Charles M. Alspaugh who died in 1941.
Surviving are two
sons, Harry G., 806 W. Wayne-st, and Charles M. Alspaugh, Jr., 515 N.
Jeffersons-st; four daughters, Mrs. Waneta Roby, London, O.; Mrs. Leala Roby, St.
Marys; Mrs. Cleota Leming, 421 W. Vine-st, and Mrs. Eileen Snider, Lafayette;
three brothers, George Reiger, Ottoville; Jacob Reiger, Ottawa, and John
Reiger, Ft. Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Connolly, Pittsburgh, Kans., and Mrs.
Monica Helkey, Tiffin, and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be 2
p. m. Tuesday at the Chiles and Son funeral home. The Rev. E. J. Penhorwood
will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery near Delphos.
The body will
remain at the funeral home until after the service.

John Perrin
Ottoville Man Victim Of Wreck
The accident, which
brought death of Mrs. Henry and
Mr. Perrin, occurred on Route 30-S, just west of Scott's Crossing at 4:10 p. m.
Sunday. Mrs. Henry was dead on arrival at St. Rita's hospital and Perrin died
at 8 a. m. Monday in St. Rita's.
Survivors include
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Perrin, Ottoville; two children, Patricia and
Tommy, Ottoville; a brother, Joseph, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Fleming, both of
Lima.
The body will remain in Kolkmeyer funeral home,
Delphos, pending completion of arrangements.
Sheriff’s deputies
Harold Williamson and George Corrello said Mr. and Mrs. Henry were en route to
their home from a vacation trip when the accident occurred.
The deputies said
Henry was traveling east when his car was struck by the automobile of Perrin
who attempted to pass another car driven by Elwood Boop, 24 of 1805 Garland-av.
The impact caused
the Perrin car to roll over on its side and Perrin was pinned beneath the
wreckage. He was extricated by passing motorists after they had raised the car
on its wheels. Deputy Williamson said Perrin apparently was knocked out of his
car. The injured were taken to the hospital in a Harter ambulance called from
Delphos.

Anna Fischer
Last rites will be
held at 9 a. m. Monday in St. Barbara's Catholic church here for Mrs. Anna
Fischer, 89, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Fischer died
at 4:35 a. m. Friday in Lima St. Rita's hospital.
She was born Oct.
29, 1860, in Ottoville. She married Henry Fischer who died in 1941.
A member of St.
Barbara's church, she was affiliated with she Altar society of the parish.
Surviving are four
sons, Herman Fischer of Cloverdale, John of Delphos, Theodore of Kirby and
Lawrence of Ottoville; one daughter, Mrs. Christina Miller of Ottoville; 18
grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
The body will
remain at the home of Lawrence Fischer, Ottoville, until time for the service.
The Fischer funeral home of Ottawa is in charge of arrangements.

Jean Ann Hoehn
Girl, 11, Drowns Sunday In Ottoville Quarry
Fall
A daring swing from
a rope suspended over a water-filled quarry ended in the drowning Sunday of
Jean Ann Hoehn, 11, of Ottoville.
The girl, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hoehn, was with two companions, Patsy Wannemacher and
Arlene Schlagbaum.
The rope was
attached to a tree limb and children had been using it to swing out over the
quarry. After the Schlagbaum girl made the swing, the Hoehn girl took a turn,
but lost her grip and dropped into the water, estimated 50 to 60 feet deep at
that point.
Her companions ran
to the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Rieger, grandparents of the Hoehn girl, who
summoned help from nearby fire departments.
Boats were sent
from Lima and Van Wert departments. Ottoville and Delphos firemen also were
summoned.
The body was
recovered two hours later by firemen Paul Clinger, Delphos, and Carl Grelich
and Howard Spencer, Ottoville.
A verdict of
accidental drowning was returned by Dr. J. R. EcKelbarger, Putnam-co coroner.
The girl was a
member of the Ottoville 4-H club and the Holy Childhood society.
She was a sixth
grader in the Ottoville school.
The body will
remain at the family residence until services at 9 a. m. Wednesday at the
Immaculate Conception Catholic church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In addition to her
parents, the girl is survived by two brothers, Robert and Paul; and her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Hoehn and Mr. and Mrs. Rieger.

Joyce Ann Eickholt
Funeral
arrangements were being completed here Thursday for Joyce Ann Eickholt, 6,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roman Eickholt, Sr., of Route 3, Ft Jennings. The
child died at 8:30 p m. Wednesday in the Lima District Tuberculosis hospital
after an illness of nine months.
Born Dec. 5, 1943,
the child was a pupil in the Ottoville school.
Surviving besides
the parents are two brothers, Roman, Jr., and John, both at home; a sister,
Mary, at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Eickholt of
Ottoville, and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Sylvester Schwaiger of Ottawa.
The body was
removed to the Kolkmeyer funeral home here pending completion of arrangements.

Frank H. King, 78,
retired grocer, died at 12:10 a. m. Sunday in St. Rita's hospital where he was
a patient for the past 10 days. Mr. King was organizer and head of the Frank
King & Sons grocery establishment for almost a half century. He retired
from active work six years ago.
Born in Delphos,
Dec. 18, 1872, his marriage to Catherine Beer took place May 17, 1899. They
marked their golden wedding anniversary last year. He was a member of
Immaculate Conception Catholic church, the St. Joseph's Society and the
Commercial club.
Surviving are his
wife, Catherine, a daughter, Miss Margaret King, of Chicago, Ill., two sons,
George and John, both of Ottoville.
Funeral services
will be held in the Catholic church here Wednesday at 9:30 a. m. with burial in
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The body was
removed from the Kolkmeyer funeral home, Delphos, to the residence this
afternoon.

Elizabeth Sieren
Services will be at
9:30 a. m. Tuesday in St. Barbara's Catholic church for Mrs. Elizabeth Sieren,
73, who died Saturday at her home in Cloverdale. The Rev. Carl Willacker will
officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Sieren was
born Nov. 1, 1878, in Ottoville and was married July 5, 1898 to John S. Sieren,
who survives.
Other survivors
include two sons, Joseph, Delphos, and Henry, at home; two daughters, Mrs.
Lewis Birkemeier, Ottawa, and Mary, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine
Merschman, Miller City, and Mrs. Andrew Meyer, Kalida; two brothers, Conrad
Klima, Delphos, and Wenz Klima, Ottoville and one grandchild.

Mary Clara Noonan
Mrs. Mary
Clara Noonan, 85, died at the home of her nephew, Carl A. Frederick, 435 E.
McKibben-st, at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
She was the
widow of Martin Noonan who died a year ago, and was born in Ottoville on April
15, 1865.
Mrs. Noonan
was a member of St. Gerard’s Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to the
nephew is a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Frederick, 620 Trenton-av.
Services
will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Gerard’s church. The Rev. James Cotter
officiating, with burial in Gethsemani cemetery.

George L. Van Oss
George L. Van Oss,
71, retired farmer, died Sunday morning at his home here after an illness of
several years His wife, Mary, died July 22, 1949.
Surviving are three
sisters and two brothers: Joseph, Theodore and Mrs. Veronica Schlembach, Delphos;
Mrs. Elizabeth Vincke, Ottoville; and Mrs. Anna Kaple, Lima.
Funeial services
will be held at 9 a. m. Thursday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic church.
Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The Rev. Henry Gerwert will conduct the
requiem mass, with arrangements in charge of the Kolkmeyer funeral home.

Susanna Janka
Mrs. Susan Janka,
71, widow of Anton Janka, died at noon Saturday in the home of her daughter,
Mrs. C. H. Hancok, Dayton. She had been in ill health for several years.
Mrs. Janka was born
at Landeck Aug. 24, 1879 and had lived in this area most of her life. Her
husband died in 1948. Surviving are another daughter, Miss Frances Janka, and
two sons, Alfred and Isadore, all of Dayton; a sister, Mrs. Lena Kramer, and
two
brothers, Frank and Henry Shumaker, Ottoville.
Funeral services
will be at 9 a. m. Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic church. The Rev.
Henry Gerwet will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. The body is at
the Kolkmeyer funeral home in Delphos.

Veronica Schlembach
Funeral services
for Mrs. Veronica Schlembach, 68, wife of William Schlembach of E. Third-st,
will be held at 9:30 a. m. Thursday in St. John's Catholic church. She died
Monday in Lima St. Rita's hospital where she was a patient for 40 days.
Born May 18, 1882,
at Ottoville, her marriage to William Schlembach took place at Ottoville Jan.
14, 1919. She was a member of St. John's church Altar society and the Catholic
Ladies of America lodge here.
Surviving besides
the husband are a daughter and son, Mrs. Evelyn Kaple, Lima, and Francis
Schlembach of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Theodore and
Joseph, Van Oss, of Delphos, and two sisters, Mrs. George Vincke, Ottoville, and
Mrs. Anna Kaple, of Lima.
The body will
remain at the Kolkmeyer funeral home until services.
