Elizabeth M. Beining
Elizabeth M. Beining, 89, formerly of Ottoville, died at noon Monday January 11, 1988, at Sarah Jane Chambers Geriatric Center, Delphos.
She was born March 17, 1898, in Putnam County, the daughter of Gebhardt and Anna (Honigford) Gasser. On May 25, 1920, she married Oliver J. Beining who died March 14, 1964.
Mrs. Beining was a homemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alter Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include four sons, Julius, Donald, Robert, and Paul, all of Ottoville; five daughters, Mrs. Linus (Leona) Berlsman, Spencerville, Edna Baxter, Van Wert, Mrs. Bernard (Norma) Reindel, Delphos, and Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Schroeder, Omstead MI; 51 grandchildren; and 55 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Ludwina Beining and one grandson, Steven Baxter is deceased.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  The Rev. Sylvan Obergefell will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Ottoville.
Friends may call after 2p.m. today (Wednesday) at Kolkmeyer- Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, where a VFW Auxiliary service will be at 7p.m., followed by an Altar Rosary Society and C L of C service at 7:30 p.m. and a parish wake at 8p.m.

Dorothy E. Looser
            Dorothy E. (Dora) Looser, 94, formerly of Delphos, died at 12:45 p.m. Friday, January 15 at Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale.
            Mrs. Looser was born April 17, 1893, in Fostoria, the daughter of Nicholas and Anna (Schlagbaum) Bedink. On January 15, 1913, she married William J. Looser, Sr., who died May 17, 1955.
            Mrs. Looser was a homemaker and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
            Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ann Marie) Buchanan, Louisville, Ky.; three sons, Romus, Ottawa; Elmer and William, both of Delphos; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Brinkman, Glandorf.
            She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy.
            A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. The Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Veronica A. Beining
            Veronica A. Beining, 93, formerly of Ottoville, died at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf.
            She was born June 12, 1894, in Paulding County, the daughter of Henry and Rose (Brandehoff) Koetter, on August 28, 1912, she married Joseph Beining, who died November 10, 1956.
            Mrs. Beining was a homemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the Alter Rosary Society.
            Survivors include two daughters; Mrs. Mark (Lauretta) Miller, Ottoville, and Mrs. Ralph (Hilda) Ricker, Delphos; two sons, Walter J., Lima and Gene M., Ottoville; 31 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
            One daughter, Genevieve Becker, and two sons, Arthur and Joseph Jr., are deceased. Three sisters, Regina Schmersal, Odelia Horstman and Alma Bedink, and one brother Hugo Koetter are also deceased.
            Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Rose Marie Martin
            Rose Marie Martin, 92, Columbus and formerly of Ft. Jennings, died at 7:30 p.m., Monday, February 1, 1988, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.
            She was born February 10, 1895, in Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Maria (Wanstroth) Utrup. On February 10, 1926, she married Leo Bernard Martin, who died February 14, 1973.
            Mrs. Martin was engaged in farming and was a homemaker. She was a past member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, past president and past district president of Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and past president of the Ft. Jennings American Legion Auxiliary.
            Survivors include a son Donald W. Martin, Columbus; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
            Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings. Rev. John Shanahan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
            Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, where a Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. followed by an American Legion Auxiliary Service at 7:45 p.m. and a parish wake service at 8 p.m.

Oscar H. Schneeg
            Oscar H. Schneeg, 65, Ft. Jennings, died at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 1988 at Van Wert County Hospital.
            He was born October 16, 1922 in Putnam County, the son of William H. and Christina (Martin) Schneeg. His mother survives in Delphos. On November 12, 1960, he married Helen Brenner who survives.
            Mr. Schneeg was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Ottoville Veteran of Foreign Wars.
            Survivors include three sons, John W. Defiance, Timothy L., at home, and Michael J., Bowling Green; a brother, Walter, of Key West Fl.; and two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Storrer, Archbold, and Mrs. Dorothy Siebeneck, Sarasota, Fl.
            Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday services at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, where military services were conducted by the VFW.
            Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Martha M. Wessell
            Martha M. Wessell, 81, formerly of Ottoville, died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 1988, at Van Wert County Hospital.
            Mrs. Wessell was born March 12, 1906, in Ottoville, the daughter of Henry and Frances Wurst. On June 19, 1928, she married Clarence E. Wessell, who died June 22, 1985.
            A homemaker, Mrs. Wessell was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, its Alter Rosary Society and Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
            Survivors include two sons, Jerry Wessel, Delphos, and Ronald Wessell of Ottoville, one sister, Anna Stokes of Ottoville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
            Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 1988, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiated.

Charles J. Eickholt Sr.
            Charles J. Eickholt Sr., Bexley, formerly of Ottoville, died February 19, 1988 at his residence.
            He was born March 24, 1892.
            Mr. Eickholt was preceded in death by his wife Anna, and son Dr. Charles Eickholt Jr.
            Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Seth (Dorothy Adams, Columbus, Mrs. Roger (Joan) Birtcher, Gahanna; a daughter in law, Thelma Eickholt, Upper Arlington; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister in law, Amanda Eickholt, Ottoville.
            Funeral services were 10 a.m. February 20 at Schoedinger State Street Chapel, Bexley. The Rev. John R. Walker officiated. Burial was made in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Mildred L. Wieging
Mildred L. (Tootie) Wieging, 69, Lima, died 7:26 pm., Tuesday, March 15, 1988, at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf, following an extended illness.
She was born July 28.1928, in Ottoville, the daughter of Joseph and Regina C. (Kemper) Hoehn. On September 4, 1948, she married Herbert J. Wieging, who died June
16, 1984.
Mrs. Wieging was a homemaker. She had been a department manager for 24 years at Elder-Beerman Department Store in the Lima Mall. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Catholic Ladies of Columbia Council 30 of Ottoville and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Gary T., Ft. Jennings, Edwards J., Lima and John (Jack) J., Dayton; four daughters, Mrs. Robert A. (Deborah) Kennedy, Ft. Wayne, IN.,  Mrs. Dennis D. (Marcia) Kahle, Lima; Mrs. David J. (Cynthia) Nusbaum, Defiance, and Mrs. Keith T. (Linda) Gasser, Granger, IN; 15 grandchildren: five brothers, Eugene Hoehn and Gerald Hoehn, both of Ottoville; Orville Hoehn, Dearborn, Mi., Ralph Hoehn, Delphos, and Richard Hoehn, Glandorf; four sisters, Mrs. James (Mary) Mack, Ft. Jennings, Mrs. Frank (Wilma) Sunderhaus and Mrs. Richard (Norma) Wolke. Both of Ottawa, and Mrs. Daniel (Jerry) Maag, Columbus Grove.
Mass of Christian Buria1 was held at l0:45 a.m., Friday, at St. Charles Catholic Church. Burial was in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, where a wake service was held at 8 p.m.. Thursday, followed by a CL of C rosary at 8:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Leo P. Brickner
Leo P. Brickner, 79, Ottoville, died at 3:37 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 1988, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born September 25, 1908, in Ottoville, the son of Joseph and Josephine (Miller) Brickner. On August 8, 1936, he married Evelyn Ball, who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Sharon Schneider, Phoenix. AZ, and Mrs. Thomas (Sheila) Korte, Ottoville: and five grandchildren.
Mr. Brickner was the retired manager of Odenweller Mill in Ottoville. He was a member of Delphos Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ft. Jennings Rod and Gun Club, and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was s social member of Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Services were held 10:30 a.m., Monday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Ottoville, Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Ottoville.
Arrangements were handled Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, where a parish wake service was held at 8 p.m., Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chad Staib Scholarship Fund.

Sylvester J. Bohn
            Sylvester J. Bohn, 79, Reading, Mi., died 7 a.m., Monday, March 21, 1988 at Hillsdale, Mi.
            He was born September 19, 1908, in Ottoville, the son of Joseph and Mary (Gergen) Bohn. On May 1, 1937, he married Jane Antonette Wannemacher. She died March 22, 1984.
            Mr. Bohn is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alan (Wilma) Brooks, Montgomery, Mi.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
            One sister and three brothers preceded him in death.
            He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Chapel in Fremont, In., and previously belonged to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Toledo. He retired in 1973 from Christen & Son as a sheet metal worker.
            Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.         
            Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, where a Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Mary Ann R. Hohlbein
            Mary Ann R. Hohlbein, 60, route 2, Cloverdale, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. May 7, 1988 in St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
            She was born May 27, 1927 in Ft. Jennings, the daughter of Alphonse and Bernadine (Brockhouse) Wieging. On October 9, 1948, she married Oscar W. Hohlbein, who survives.
            Mrs. Hohlbein was retired after 20 years at Philips Display Components, Ottawa. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and its Alter Rosary Society.
            Survivors include four sons, James R., Cincinnati; Gregory J., and Joseph V., Cloverdale; Roger G., Indianapolis, In.; two daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Diane) Niese, Swanton; and Mrs. Eric (Jeanne) Sanderson, Grover Hill; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Al (Lucille) Merschman, Cridersville, Mrs. Ed (Eileen) DeVelbiss, Defiance and Coreen Wieging, Lima; and a brother, George Wieging, Crisdersville.
            A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the church. The Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Agatha E. Hilvers
            Agatha E. Hilvers, 65, Elida, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, May 7, 1988, at Oaks Convalescent Home.
            She was born May 7, 1923, in Toledo, the daughter of Arnold and Marcella (Laudick) Sheeter. She married Roman J. Hilvers who died in 1962.
            Survivors include two sons, Ronald, Van Wert, and David, Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. James (Judy) Briggs, Elida; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward Sheeter, Delphos, and Arthur Sheeter, Michigan.
            The body was cremated.
            Memorial services were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Delphos. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Bertha E. Wuebker
            Bertha E. Wuebker, 89, Ottoville, died at 6:37 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 1988, at Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale.
            She was born July 27, 1898, in Ottoville, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Schulte) Mittelkamp. On November 30, 1933, she married William Wuebker who died August 8, 1976.
            Mrs. Wuebker had operated Cloverleaf Cream Station in Ottoville and had been a housekeeper for several rectories in the Diocese. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Alter Rosary Society and Holy Name Society.
            Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Wuebker, Cloverdale; and several nieces and nephews.
            Services were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, where a parish rosary was said at 8 p.m., Sunday.

Alex H. Ruen
            Alex H. Ruen, 82, Ottoville, died Saturday morning at Van Wert County Hospital.
            Mr. Ruen was born January 28, 1906 in Ottoville, the son of Frank W. and Mary C. (Schlagbaum) Ruen.
            A retired farmer, Mr. Ruen was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville and was a life member of the Catholic Knights of Ohio. He was a past president of the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Ottoville and was past central committeeman of the Democratic Party of Putnam County for Monterey Township.
            Survivors include to sisters, Martha Ruen of Ottoville and Marcella Wannemacher of Delphos and one brother, John Ruen of Ottawa. Two sisters preceded her in death.
            Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday morning at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville. Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, handled funeral arrangements.
            Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church steeple repair fund or to Delphos Nursing Homes.

Waldo G. Huysman
            Waldo G. (Bounce) Huysman, 69, Delphos, died at 3:41 p.m. Monday, June 13, 1988 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, following a sudden illness.
            He was born December 18, 1918, in Ottoville, the son of Allen and Irene (Fierstos) Huysman. On September 27, 1947 he married Rosemary C. Kaskel, who survives.
            Mr. Huysman was a retired plant supervisor at Sheller-Globe in Lima. He was an army veteran of World War II. He earned a Silver Star, Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Delphos Veterans of Foreign Wars, Delphos Country Club and St. John’s Catholic Church.
            Survivors include a son, Gary, North Liberty, Ia.; four daughters, Mrs. Bill (Jane) Place and Mrs. Jeffery (Becky) Minnig, both of Delphos, and Sue Schneider and Mrs. Scott (Debbie) Shelley, both of Des Moines, Ia.; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Heitt and Mrs. Donald (Betty) Helmkamp, both of Delphos; and a brother L. J. (Jiggs) Huysman of Fullerton, Ca.
            A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Catholic Church, Delphos, the Rev. Daniel Hesko will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
            Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake service will be at 8 p.m.

Estella M. Briggs
Estella M. (Peters) Briggs, 59, of 419 W. Division Street., Died Tuesday in Branch County Community Health Center, after a short illness.
She was born in Ottoville, Ohio, where she attended school and lived until moving to Sherwood in 1965. She was employed by Sherwood Feed Mill. She is a member of the auxiliary to the Bronson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
Surviving are her husband, Donald E Briggs; sons, Wayne E. Briggs of Union City, Richard L. Briggs of Sherwood and Gary L. Briggs of Tekonsha; daughters, Wanda Coryell of Quincy, Velva Ann Briggs and Rebecca K. Briggs both of Sherwood; 11 grandchildren, and a sister, Dolores Remlinger of Kalida, Ohio.
Services will be at 1 PM Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to the American Cancer Society.

Mary Leist
            Mary (Betty) Leist, 68, formerly of Lima, died at 8:12 p.m., Friday June 24, 1988, at Roselawn Manor Nursing, Spencerville.
            Mrs. Leist was born July 26, 1919, in Ottoville, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Vincke) Van Oss. On January 16, 1939, she married Vernon C. Leist, who survives.
            Mrs. Leist was owner and operator of Priscilla Beauty Shop. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and its Altar-Rosary Society.
Survivors also include one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Priscilla) Recker, Delphos; 11 grandchildren: eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Virgil Van Oss, Lima; Edmund
Van Oss, Minster; Joseph Van Oss, Ottoville, and John Van Oss, Dayton; and two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Dorothy) Hovest, Glandorf; and Mrs. Wilbur (Mary Agnes) Miller, Mount
Victory.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m., Tuesday, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
The arrangements were handled by Harter and Son Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake service was held 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Loreen Brookhart
Loreen Brookhart, 78, of Marysville died early this morning, Aug. 4 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton, at which she was a registered nurse for many years.
She was born in Ottoville, Ohio on Oct. 9, 1909 to William and Anna (Luersman) Schneeg who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death on July 18, 1974 was Daniel Brookhart, whom she married in Ottoville in 1945.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rebecca (Brookhart) Acktey of East Liberty and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Schnurrenberger Funeral Home in West Mansfield with burial in the East Liberty Cemetery.
Friends may call the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday
.

Elvin G. Rekart
Elvin G. Rekart, 80, Southgate, MI, died Tuesday, August 9, 1988, at Wyandotte General Hospital, Wyandotte, MI, following a short illness.
Mr. Rekart was born December 12, 1907, in Ottoville, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Otte) Rekart. He married Leona Weber July 3, 1937, and she survives.
Other survivors include one sister, Marcella Blankemeyer, Cloverdale, and several nieces and nephews.
He was employed at Whitehead and Kales Company. River Rouge, MI.
Funeral services were held Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Southgate, MI. Fr. Bart Ferrara officiated. Burial was in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Riverview. MI.
Arrangements were handled by Czopck Funeral Home, Southgate, MI.

Michelle N. Schnipke
Michelle Nicole Schnipke, infant daughter of Dennis A. and Brenda (Klenz) Schnipke, died at Toledo Hospital on Wednesday, August 24, 1988, eight hours after her birth.
She was born at 6:29 p.m., Tuesday at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Survivors also include two brothers, Brent and Craig, both at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Klenz, Delphos; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Vincent W. Schnipke, Cloverdale, and maternal great-grandfather, Violet Klenz, Celina.
Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Friday, at St. Michael Cemetery, Kalida. Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Harter and Son Funeral Home, Delphos.

Joseph Niedecken
Joseph (Jim) Niedecken, 68, Ottoville, died at 6:46 p.m., Friday, September 9, 1988, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
            Mr. Niedecken was born October 1, 1919, in Ottoville, the son of Harry and Amelia (Otte) Niedecken. On June 28, 1943, he married Mildred Maag, who survives.
Mr. Niedecken served as mayor of Ottoville from 1974 to 1980 and during his administration Ottoville completed its sewer system project and constructed the city building. He was organizer and treasurer of St. Mary's Credit Union.
            Mr. Niedecken was in partnership with his father in Niedecken Photography Studio and for the past 30 years was owner of Niedecken Insurance Agency, which he sold September 1, 1988, to his son, James.
Mr. Niedecken was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville.
Survivors also include one son, James, Ottoville; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Stephanie) Heitmeyer, Delphos; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Jane Maag, Ottoville.
He was preceded in death by one sister Colleen Kramer.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m., Monday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Rev. Herman Fortman officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
Arrangements were handled by Harter and Son Funeral Home, Delphos.
Memorial contributions may be made to steeple repair fund in Ottoville or the Pulmonary Intervention Team at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Lloyd F. Landin
Lloyd F. Landin, 77, Ft. Jennings, died at 6:40 p.m., Monday, September 12, 1988, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born July 11, 1911, in Marion, the son of Claude and Rose (Schumaker) Landin.
A retired farmer, Mr. Landin was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.

New Bremen; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Art Landin, Akron; and a sister, Mrs. William (Jenny) Calvelage, Ft. Jennings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville and until time of services Thursday at the church. A parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Edward L. Odenweller
Edward L. Odenweller, 82, Ottoville, died 7 p.m., Monday, September 12, 1988, at his residence.
He was born May 14, 1908, in Ottoville, the son of Edward and Margaret (Summers) Odenweller. On October 22, 1936, he married Mary M. Pittner in Ottoville and she died February 2, 1987.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Mary Ann) Rode, Ottoville, Mrs. Thomas C. (Patricia) Weger, Delphos, Mrs. Robert (Marcia) Meyer, Kettering, and Mrs.
David (Joan) Englesman, Dayton: 10 grandchildren: four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Vince Odenweller, Delphos; three sisters, Mrs. James (Mary) Abrams, Cincinnati; Mrs. Ray (Helen) Brinkmeyer, Norwood, and Margaret Odenweller, Cincinnati.
One brother, Sylvester, is deceased.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church, Ottoville, and the former president of Odenweller Milling Company. He
retired in 1976.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. in the church with Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. Burial will be St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.

Eugene L. Hoersten
Eugene L. Hoersten, 49, of Kalida, died at 0:46 a.m. Sunday, September 18, 1988 at Lima Memorial Hospital, after an extended illness.
He was born February 22, 1939 in Putnam County to Felix "Sandy" And Mary (Berelsman) Hoersten. His mother survives in Ottoville. He married Mary Ann Borgelt on May 6, 1962, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Kevin, at home; three daughters, Mrs. James (Lucy) Bockrath, Columbus Grove; Mrs. Robert (Regina) Fischnich, Dubeldorf, West Germany; Jenny Hoersten, at home: a grandchild; two brothers, Harold of Ottoville; Clete of Delphos: and two sisters, Pat Hoersten. Ottoville; Marilyn Hoersten, Mansfield.
Mr. Hoersten was a project engineer with K.P. Industries of Delphos. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and its Holy Name Society. He coached in the Putnam County Soccer League for five years.
A funeral Mass was said at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday), at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, the Rev. John Hoying officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
McCrate-Love Funeral Home handled the arrangements where a
Scripture service was held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio.

Anna Stokes
Anna Stokes, 83, of Ottoville, died at 8:45 a.m. Friday, October 21, 1988 at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born January 6, 1905, in Ottoville, the daughter of Henry and Frances Kaes Wurst. On January 20, 1932, she married Norman Stokes, who died November 22, 1968.
A homemaker, Mrs. Stokes was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the Senior Citizens.
Survivors include three sons, James N. Stokes of Ottoville. Barry Stokes of Hiawatha, KS and Richard Stokes of Middle Point; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Mary Ann) Schnipke of Kalida; 11 grandchildren: and six great-grandchildren.
Service were held Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Ruth M. Horstman
Ruth M. Horstman, 64, Ottoville, died a t 4:15 p.m., Tuesday, November
15, 1988, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born August 20, 1920, in Ottoville, the daughter of Gilbert and
Regina (Grothause) Eickholt. On August 21, 1945, she married Elmer A. Horstman, who survives.
Mrs. Horstman retired in 1986 after 13 years as a press operator for Schnipke Engraving. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors also include six daughters, Mrs. Karl (Linda) Boecker, Mrs. Donald (Karen) Schnipke, and Mrs. Tom (Donna) Schimmoller, all of Cloverdale, Mrs.
Larry (Joyce) Miller and Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Kroeger, both of Landeck, and Mrs. Mark (Janice) Bendele, of Kalida: three sons, Nick and Dan both of Ottoville, and Ron, Ottawa: 18 grandchildren: a sister, Mrs. George (Marilyn1 Berres, Delphos: and a brother, Leonard Eickholt, Ottoville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) a t Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, where a V.F.W. service will be at 7:30 p.m., today, followed by a combined Altar Rosary and parish wake at 8:30 p.m.

Irene M. Dugan
Irene M. Dugan, 67, North Palm Beach, FL, and Lima, died Friday, November 25, 1988, in the Florida city following a sudden illness.
She was born October 15, 1921, in Ottoville, the daughter of August and
Anna (Ruen) Trenkamp. On March 1, 1945, she married John T. Dugan, who survives.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Dugan was a member of St. Clare's Catholic Church, North Palm Beach, FL. and St. Gerard Catholic Church, Lima. She was a U.S. Navy nurse in World War II.
Survivors also include five sons, John T. (Jack), Corpua Christi, TX., Michael E., Eugene V, and Daniel E. all of Lima, and Patrick J., Columbus: 16 grandchildren: one brother, August Trenkamp, Delphos, and one sister, Sally Fisher, Florida.
Mass of Christian burial was held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, Rev. Ed Bober officiated. Burial was in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home where a VFW service was conducted at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, followed by wake service at 8 p.m.

Frank H. Krietemeyer
Frank H. Krietemeyer, 88, of Cloverdale, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, December 18, 1988 at the Sarah Jane Chambers Geriatric Center in Delphos.
He was born September 17, 1900, the son of Henry and Katherine Wallen Krietemeyer. In 1927, he married Eleanor A. Siefer, who died March 2, 1979.
A retired farmer, Mr. Krietemeyer was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, and the Catholic Knights of Ohio.
Survivors include two sons, Oscar Krietemeyer of Cloverdale and Joseph Krietemeyer of Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan, Canada: six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Alex (Christina) Ruhe of Ottawa, Mrs. Benno (Mary) Miller of Delphos, Mrs. Clara Wurst of Landeck and Sister Petunia Krietemeyer, of Salem Heights.

Regina M. Miller
Regina M. Miller, 86, Ottoville, died at 930 a.m., Saturday, December 24, 1988, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Mrs. Miller was born September 19, 1902, in Ft. Jennings, the daughter of Henry and Mary Ann (Berelsman) Wiechart. On April 20, 1926, she married Adolph S. Miller, who died December 11. 1965.
A homemaker, Mrs. Miller was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, the Altar Rosary Society and Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Ray and Robert "Cookie" Miller, both of Ottoville, and John, Centerville; two daughters Mrs. John (Ann) Yaufman, Ottawa, and Mrs. Ray (Elma) Kaufman, Ottoville; 37 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gerald.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday), at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.
Arrangements were handled by Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Sifered Funeral Home, Ottoville, where the VFW Auxiliary, Altar Rosary and Catholic Ladies of Columbia services were conducted starting at 8:15 p.m., Tuesday, followed by an 8:30 p.m. parish wake service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Steeple Repair Fund.

Sylvester A. Krebs
Sylvester A. Krebs, 83, of Delphos, died at the Delphos Memorial Nursing Home Thursday, following a long illness.
Born in Ottoville in Putnam County, Mr. Krebs was a veteran of World War II and was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Delphos. He also belonged to the
Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 471, and of the United Polish Club. He was the retired custodian of St. John School.
Survivors include brothers, Vincent Krebs of South Amherst, and Carl Krebs of Bradenton, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Howard (Gertrude) Neal and Mrs. Catherine Tippie, both of Delphos. He was preceded in death by sisters, Henrietta Boham and Evelyn Seffernick.
Friends may call anytime after 2 p.m. Monday at the Barter and Sons Memorial Chapel in Delphos. A parish wake service will be held Monday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church in Delphos. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.
