Scott James Deitering (Infant)
Scott James Deitenng, infant son of
James L. and Shirley Carroll Deitering, died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rita's
Hospital, Lima, where he was born three days earlier.
Survivors in
addition to his parents include paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy
Deitering of Cloverdale: and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carroll
of North Creek.
He was a member of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church Services were to be at 10 this morning in
Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Bonifas officiating. Burial was in
St Mary’s Cemetery.

Margaret A. Miller
Services for Margaret A. Miller,
86, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial
will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Miss Miller died at 5 a.m. Tuesday
in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima.
Born May 5, 1890, in Ottoville, she
was a daughter of J.J. and Marguerite
Laver Miller.
Survivors include several nieces
and nephews.
She was a member of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and was a retired
co-owner of J.J. Miller Co. and a retired assistant cashier of the Ottoville
Bank.

Anthony J. Weber, 88, of 829
Fairlane Dr, Delphos, died at 10:55 a.m. Thursday in the Sarah Jane Chambers
Geriatric Center here.
He was born Dec 10, 1888, in
Ottoville, the son of John and Rosalia Gasser Weber. His first wife, Hilda M.
Wurst, died on Dec. 29, 1967. He married Helen V. Ochs on April 11, 1970, and
she survives.
Mr. Weber was a retired salesman
with, Tracy Wells Co. of Columbus and the Kill Brothers of Delphos. He was a
member of the St. John Evangelist Catholic Church, the Delphos Country Club,
American Legion Post 268, VFW of Ottoville, Catholic Knights of Ohio, Knights
of Columbus and the Delphos Club. He served in the army during World War I.
Survivors include two sons, Richard
F. of Fort Wayne and Robert A. of Lima, three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth
(Elizabeth) Kill of Findlay, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Schmit of here and Mrs.
Dick (Ruth) Gibson of Lima; two stepsons, Ambrose J. and John
M. Ochs, both of Fremont; two brothers, Ludwig and Frank,
both of Ottoville, a sister, Mary Miller of Ottoville; 27 grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Rev Herbert Weber and
Rev. Arthur Badger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Frank H. Korte, 77, died at 10:15
a.m. Monday in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima.
Born Feb. 17, 1899, in Glandorf, he
was a son of Anthony and Anna Grubenhoff Korte He married Marcele Schmitt on
Feb. 26, 1924, in Ottoville, and she survives.
Other survivors include four sons,
Richard and Paul, both of Fort Jennings. Cletus of Ottawa and Thomas of here:
two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Eileen) Kahle of Columbus Grove and Mrs. Paul
(Ruth) Ford of Continental; 33 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, two
sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Mary) Blankmeyer, of Continental and Amelia Korte of
Oregon; and a brother, Leo of Fort Jennings.
He was a former Greensburg Township
trustee and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Holy
Name Society. He was a retired farmer.
Mass of the Resurrection will be
celebrated at 10.30 a.m. Thursday in the church, Rev. Roger Bonifas officiating
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Laura F. Stallkamp, 84, of 205 W.
1st, Delphos, died at 7 p.m. Friday in her residence.
Born Dec. 20, 1892, in Ottoville,
she was a daughter of Henry and Frances Kais Wurst. She married Paul C.
Stallkamp June 20, 1917 and he died July 8, 1969.
Survivors include three sons,
Thomas, Joseph and William, all of here: nine grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anne Spokes and Mrs. Clarence (Martha)
Wessell, both of Ottoville, and Mrs. Huley (Bernadme) Reau of Erie, Mich; two
brothers. Edward Wurst of here and Frank Wurst of Ottoville.
She was a member of St. John's
Catholic Church and its Altar-Rosary Society, C.L. of C., Delphos American
Legion Auxiliary, Sacred Heart League, Golden Age Club, Fortnite Pals and
Delphos Fire Ladies.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at
11 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery.

Rev. Burnell H.
Hammons
Rev. Burnell H. Hammons, 62, of Ohio City, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday in
his residence of an apparent heart attack.
Born April 19, 1914, in Ottoville, he was a son of
George H. and Sarah Elizabeth Miller Hammons. He married Innes Louise Butler
Sept. 5, 1934 and she died May 9, 1972. On Dec. 29, 1973, he married Betty
Shirk and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Rev. Burnell E. Hammons of Lame Deer,
Mont.; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Louise) Wirts of Rt. 2, Payne, Mrs. James
(Thelma) Wirts of Rt. 1, Convoy, Mrs. Donald (Sharon) Louth of Crown Point,
Ind., and Ruth E. Hammons of Lima; a brother, Ralph of Cloverdale; two sisters,
Mrs. Glenn (Veva) Shellaberger of Lafayette and Mrs. Albert (Treva) Plescher of
Cloverdale; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Rev. Hammons was assistant pastor at Bethlehem Tabernacle. He was
ordained in 1955, was an evangelist and was pastor at a church in Paulding for
several years, and was an assistant superintendent of the state highway
department where he was employed for 11 years.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the church, Rev. Tandy
Roach Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. Cowan and Son Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Brinkman, 94, died at 3 p.m.
Saturday in Dallas Lamb Nursing Home, Paine.
She was born Nov. 22, 1882 here, a
daughter of Matthew and Ann Wolke
Brinkman.
She was a member of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church and Altar-Rosary Society.

Mr. Koester died at 12:05 a.m.
Thursday in St. Rita's Medical Center. Lima, following a three month illness.
Born Nov. 11, 1924, in Ottoville.
He was a son of Henry and Clara Deitering
Koester. His mother survives here. He married Mary Jane
Schroeder on July 30, 1955, and she survives.
Other survivors include a son,
Mark, at home, two daughters, Anne and Sue, both at home: five sisters, Mildred
Wannemacher, Mrs. Paul (Rita) Burgei and Mrs. Joseph (Eileen) Sanders, all of
here, Mrs. Lawrence (Mary Jane) Burgei of Cloverdale and Mrs. Donald (Irene)
Friemoth of Van Wert; and four brothers, Victor and Clarence, both of
Here, Virgil of Lima and Jerome of Burnsville, Minn.
A U S. Army veteran of World War
II. He was a past commander of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post He was
associated with Ottoville Lumber Co. and was a member of the Ohio Lumber and
Building Products Dealers Association, Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.

Barbara E. Kramer
Rev. Roger Bonifas was celebrant
for a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 this morning, Wednesday, in Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, for Barbara E. Kramer, 57, route 2, Ft.
Jennings, who died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Mrs. Kramer was born on October 10,
1919 in Ottoville, to Frank and Catherine (Burgei) Gasser. On May 3, 1944, she
married Bernard J. Kramer in Ottoville and he survives.
Surviving with him are four
daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marlene) Langhals, Ottoville; Mrs. Richard (Judith)
Bockrath, Kalida; Ladonna and Ruth, both at home; one son, Michael, Ottoville;
six grandchildren; six brothers, Carl and Joseph, both route 2, Ft. Jennings;
Arnold, Delphos; Jerome, Eugene and Frank, all of Ottoville. One son Gerald and
a brother, Edwin are deceased.
She was a member of the Immaculate
Conception Church and the Alter Rosary Society. Burial was made in St. Mary's
Cemetery, Ottoville.

Henry Brabant, 85, of Spencerville Road, died at 6
p.m. Thursday in St. Rita's Medical Center Lima
Born Jan. 12, 1892, in Ottoville he
was a son of John and Elizabeth Pavel Brabant He married Eva Wogomon on Nov.
18, 1950, and she survives.
Other survivors include a son,
George of Van Wert two daughters, Eseie Boals of Sturgis, Mich., and Genevieve
Consolino of Covert, Mich., a stepson, Donald Baze of
Findlay; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, two
sisters. Loretta Akon of Van Wert and Irene Pearce of here, and a brother,
Edward of Struthers.
He was a retired laborer

Lawrence M. Fischer, 75, died at 7
30 a.m. Sunday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following a lengthy illness.
Born June 28, 1901, in Cloverdale.
He was a son of Henry and Louise Peters
Fischer. He married Lauretta Wolke on Nov. 29, 1933, and she
survives.
Other survivors include four
daughters, Mrs. James (Mary Lou) Clement of Delphos, Mrs. Roger (Alice)
Broecker of Fort Jennings, Mrs. Frank (Carolyn) Tobe of Glandorf and Mrs.
Melvin (Marilyn) Fischer of Gibson City, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.

Louis J. Grote, 80, of here, died
at 5:15 p.m. Monday in Delphos Memorial Home following an extended illness.
Born June 10, 1896, at Fort
Jennings, he was the son of John and Kathryn Horstman Grote. He married the
former Antoinette Hoehn on Oct. 30, 1917. She died June 2, 1959.
Survivors include a son, Melvin of
Cloverdale; three grandchildren: three great-grandchildren; and a brother,
Bernard of Cloverdale.
Mr. Grote was a member of Catholic
Knights of Ohio, Holy Name Society and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He was a retired farmer and stock buyer.

Born March 5, 1909, in Ottoville,
he was a son of Anton and Margaret Kulhaneck Hoehn. He married Mildred A.
Becker on Oct. 3, 1933, in Fort Jennings, and she survives.

daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Beverly) Becker, Mrs. Gary (Janice) Schlagbaum, both of
here; Mrs. Robert (Carole) Taylor and Mrs. Michael (Diane) Williman, both of
Van Wert. Mrs. James (Darlene) Lause, of Fort Jennings and Mrs. Joseph (Donna)
Ferranti of Perrysburg: 20 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Philip (Many) Weber of
Allen Park, Mich., and three brothers, Rudolph of Fort Jennings. Sylvester of
Ottoville and Lee of Lima.
He was a member of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church and was manager of the Delphos Pangles store for
about 20 years and an employee of J.J Miller Co. at the time of his death

Services for Leo J. Bendele, 88, of 710 E. Second,

died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at his home.
Born March 25, 1889, in Ottoville, he was a son of Sebastian and
Catherine Hertzog Bendele. He married Frances Schimmoeller on June 10, 1913,
and she survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Schmitz of
Waterford, Conn.; four sons, Ralph, Robert, Thomas and Rudy, all of here; 21
grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services for August H. Utrup, 80,

Monday in his home.
Born Jan. 11, 1897, in Ottoville,
he was a son of Gerhard and Anna Kehres Utrup. He married Caroline A. Pohl on
June 6, 1922, and she survives.
Other survivors include three sons,
Roman A. of Van Wert, Arthur J. and Edwin L., both of here; four daughters,
Mrs. Merle (Lauretta) Hollar of here, Mrs. Harold (Wilma) Springer of
Wapakoneta, Mrs. William (Ruth) Martin of Lima and Irene H. Utrup of here; 28
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Utrup of Cloverdale
and Mrs. John (Hilda) Pohl of Fort Jennings; and a brother, Louis of Leipsic.
He was a retired farmer and retired
employee of Gramm Trailer Corp. and the Ohio Department of Highways. He was a
U.S. Army veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion,
Delphos Eagles Lodge and was past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
Dad's Club.

Raymond J. Siebeneck, 69, of Rt. 1,
Cloverdale, died at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Born Jan. 27, 1908, in Kalida. He
was the son of Frank B. and Mary Wyant Siebeneck. He married Florence
Hohenbrink on May 10, 1933, and she survives.

daughters, Mrs. Charles (Velma) Warnimont of Miller City, Mrs. Robert (Theresa)
Gerding of Kalida, Mrs. Ronald (Jane) Pothast of
Delphos, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Meyer of Columbus Grove and
Mrs. Dennis (Janet) Variell of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Norman of here and
Robert, at home; 29 grandchildren; a brother, Cornelius of Defiance: three
half-brothers. Victor of St. Petersburg, Fla., Richard of Findlay and Clem of
Kalida; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Martha) Hohenbrink of Ottawa and Mrs.
Norbert (Rita) Maag of Defiance.
He was a member of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, a retired farmer and a retired employee of Buckeye
Sugar Co., Ottawa.

Martha E. KlimaMartha E. Klima, 67, of 628 W. First, died at 8:55 a.m. Sunday at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, after a six-month illness.
Born Sept. 3, 1909, in Ottoville, she was the daughter of John and Mary
Kieffer Klima.
Survivors include two brothers, Syl of here and Edward of Brighton,
Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Walter (Edna) Gray of Cleveland, Mrs. Oscar
(Gertrude) Hempfling of Landeck, Margaret Kill of Wapakoneta and Mrs. Cletus (Armilla)
Brinkman of
Fort Jennings.
She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and St. John's Catholic
Church. She was a retired housekeeper for the priest of the Nativity in
Pleasant Ridge in Cincinnati.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the
church, Rev. Douglas Siebenaler officiating. Burial will be in St. John's
Cemetery.

Matilda
Kreienbrink, 92, died Sept. 22 in Sacred Heart Home. She was born Jan. 31, 1885
in Ottoville, Ohio to Joseph and Mary Beticker Liebrecht. She married Fred
Kreienbrink Feb. 9, 1909. He is deceased.
A resident
of Kendallville 30 years, she had been employed by McCray Hospital for 17
years, was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Kendallville, and the
Rosary Society.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Dominic
(Henrietta) Demske, Mrs. Eugene (Edna) Meyer, and Mrs. Ralph (Leona) Fortman,
all of Avilla, Mrs. Edward (Agnes) VanGessel, Kendallville, and Mrs. Don
(Ellen) Helmkamp, LaGrange; two sisters; one brother; 28 grandchildren and 30
great-grandchildren. Services in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Monday. Burial, St.
Mary’s Cemetery.

Lucille W. Weaver, 80, route 2, Fort Jennings. She passed away at 9:05 a.m.
Saturday in Paradise Oaks Nursing Home.
Cloverdale.
She was born on December 3, 1896, in Delphos, to Benjamin and
Catherine (Meyer) Schabbing. On April 19,
1945, she married Otis Weaver in Detroit and he died on October 30,1964.
Surviving her are four daughters,
Mrs. Alice Bendele, Ft. Jennings;
Mrs. Hazel Thomas, Tampa. Fla.; Mrs. Betty Oestrick, Royal Oaks. Mich.: Mrs.
Jean Garlock, Saginaw. Mich.: one son, Donald. Clawson, Mich.: 26 grandchildren: 18
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William (Ann) Konst. Wapakoneta: Mrs.
Clara Sherrick, Elida.
Mrs. Weaver was a member of the
Immaculate Conception Church. Interment was made in Mount Olive Cemetery,
Detroit, Mich.

Regina L. Weber
Regina L.
Weber, 79, formerly of Delphos died at 1:10 a.m. Monday, December 12 at the
Sara Jane Geriatric Center, Delphos.
She was the
daughter of August and Eva (Janka) Smith and was born in Putnam County on
September 20, 1898. On January 17, 1917, she married Albert J. Weber in
Ottoville and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1969.
Surviving
are four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Luella) Barkimer, Ottawa; Mrs. Francis
(Madonna) Reine, Delphos; Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Geddings, Delphos; Mrs. Don
(June) Link, Delphos; three sons, Robert and Gene Delphos; Joseph, Ottawa; 45
grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Bowers,
Lima and Mrs. Margaret Kaverman, Lima; one brother, Henry Smith, Cleveland. Two
children, Coletta Schram and Imogene Jackson are deceased.
Mrs. Weber
was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Delphos, and Catholic Ladies of
Columbia and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Ottoville.
Funeral
Mass will be at 1:00 this afternoon, Wednesday, in the church. Burial was in
St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.
