Grote, 81, Ft. Jennings, died at 8:20 a.m. Monday January 13, 1997, at his
residence.
He was born
December 4, 1915, in Ottoville, to Joseph and Anna (Kahle) Grote. He married
Crylida Siefker on August 21, 1940, and she survives in Ft. Jennings.
Also
surviving are a son John (Marie) Grote, Ottoville; three daughters, Mrs. Joann
(Tom) Hempfling and Mrs. Janet (Jim) Trentman, both of Delphos, and Mrs. Eileen
(Paul) Gedert, Maumee; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Norbert (Ruth) Grote, Ottoville, and Gerald (Rita) Grote, Kalida; and
two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hoffman, Kalida and Mrs. Odilla (Jim) Myers, Norwalk.
He was
preceded in death by a brother Sylvester Grote; and a sister Geneva Grote.
Mr. Grote
was a farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings, and
a past member of the Ft. Jennings Recreation Club.
Mass of
Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 1997, at St.
Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings. Rev. Michael Schelling will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ft. Jennings.

Niemeyer, 84, Ottoville, died at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 1997, at St.
Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born
October 3, 1912, in Landeck, to David and Lucy (Suever) Niemeyer. On June 15,
1937, he married Rose Mary Giesken, and she is passed away.
Mr.
Niemeyer was a retired farmer and was also retired from Hagen Insulation of
Delphos. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
He was a member of the Catholic Knights of Ohio, Landeck, Cursillo Movement and
marriage encounter.
Surviving
are six sons, Jerome (Jean) Niemeyer, Columbus Grove, Ronald (Mary Lou)

Oss, 70, Beavercreek and formerly of Ottoville, died Wednesday, February 5,
1997, at Franciscan Dayton Campus, Dayton.
He was born
September 1, 1926, in Ottoville, to Joseph H. and Maria Dorthea (Vincke) Van
Oss. His wife of 24 years, Ardonna, survives.
Survivors
include two daughters, Linda (Larry) Farmer, Cincinnati, and Molly (David)
Quackenbush, Reston, VA; four grandchildren; two brothers, Edmund Van Oss,
Minster, and Joseph Van Oss, Ottoville; and two sisters, Agnes Miller, Kenton,
and Dorothy Hovest, Ottawa.
He was
preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Mr. Van Oss
retired from Material Distributors Inc. He was a member of the Fraternal Order
of Eagles Aerie 321, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 73, National Association of
Accountants, Knollwood Lodge 774, Free and accepted Masons, Scottish Rite
Valley of Dayton and Antioch Shrine. He was a former member of the Greater
Dayton Area Umpires Association and a veteran of the Antioch Bobbies.
Mass of
Christian burial was held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dayton.
Burial was made in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton.

Frank Wenzlick, 86, of Whitehouse, formerly of Ottoville, died February 5 in
St. Luke Hospital, Maumee.
He was born
October 15, 1910, in Ottoville to George and Elizabeth (Deitering) Wenzlick.
He married
Gertrude Elwer on May 13, 1939. She survives.
Also
surviving are four sons, George Wenzlick of Toledo, Carl (Cathy) Wenzlick and
Robert Wenzlick of Whitehouse, and William (Betty) Wenzlick of Grand Rapids;
six daughters, Margaret (Joe) Brown of Lyons, Edna (Tim) Anaple, Marie Wenzlick
and Dolores (Ray) Chmielewski of Toledo, Judy Wenzlick of Liberty Lake,
Washington, and Patricia Wenzlick of Cocur d’ Alene, Idaho; one sister, Regina
Jerwers of Ft. Jennings; 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was
preceded in death by one son, John Wenzlick; one brother Herman Wenzlick; and
one sister, Caroline Hoffman.
Mr.
Wenzlick was a farmer and retired in 1970 as an inspector at Surface Combustion
after 20 years.
He was a
member of St. Patrick Church, Grand Rapids, and its Holy Name Society.

services will 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Church, the Rev. Anthony
Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.

(Ruen) Schmersal. On April 16, 1940, he married Monica C. Kahle, who died May
23, 1996.

He was

Schmersal was a farmer and retired from GTE as a licensed boiler operator and
watchman. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville,
and its Holy Name Society.

He was born
October 9, 1910, in Ottoville to George and Emma (Giesken) Schleter. He married
Cecelia Keefe, May 31, 1932. She died February 3, 1988.
Surviving
are six sons, Robert and Fredrick Schleter of Tiffin; Rev. Edward Schleter of
Defiance; Joseph T. Schleter of Dayton; James Schleter of Lima; and Larry
Schleter of Boca Rason, Florida; three daughters, John (Ralph) Dickman of
Hessville; Carolyn (John) Metzger of Toledo; and Janet (Daniel) Feasel of
Findlay; one brother, Arthur Schleter of Tiffin; one sister, Alice Shafer of
Newaygo, Michigan; 40 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren.
He was
preceded in death by two sisters, Angela Renninger and Elizabeth Hoover.
Mr.
Schleter retired in 1975 from Sterling Grinding Wheel where he was a presser
and a grinder.
He was a
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and was a former member of its Holy Name
Society. He was a bowler and a fisherman.

Louis Looser, 73, Ottoville, died at 11:46 p.m. Friday, February 21, 1997, at
Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born
June 18, 1923, in Ottoville, to Charles and Rosa (Klausing) Looser. On June 26,
1948, he married Mary C. “Sally” Pohlman and she survives.
Also
surviving are three sons, Donald (Theresa) Looser and Larry Looser, both of
Cloverdale, and Gary (Mary Jo) Looser, Delphos; a daughter, Virginia Coker,
Bryan; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Laverne “Chuck”
Looser, Ottoville, and a sister, Mildred Elwer, Delphos.
Mr. Looser
worked at Gramm Trailer, Delphos, and was a retired bricklayer for Suever
Construction. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in World War II. He was a
member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and a life member of
VFW Post 3740, Ottoville.
Services
were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 1997, at Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church, Ottoville. Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated. Burial was in St.
Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Mass for Brother Christopher Arthur “Art” Miller, 74, a member of Glenmary Home
Missionaries , will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Glenmary Home Chapel, 4119
Glenmary Trace, Fairfield.
He died
February 26, while away from his residence at St. Simmons Island, Georgia,
where he resided since 1990. He retired in 1987 in Cincinnati.
He was born
August 16, 1922, to Frank and Laura Miller in Ottoville.
Survivors
include a brother, Jerry Miller of Lima; and three sisters, Connie Lauer of
Vandalia, Marilyn Miles of Engelwood and Marie Rogers of Columbus.
He was preceded
in death by his parents and a sister, Mildred Wurst.
Brother
Miller attended Lawrence Institute in Detroit, Michigan and Ohio State
University, Columbus. After graduating from Defiance College in 1948, he
entered Glenmary in 1956 and professed his perpetual oath to the society on May
1, 1961.
Following
his final oath, Brother Miller worked as a parish brother in Statesboro, Ga.;
McConnellsburg, Pa.; and Franklin, Ky.; and in the Glenmary offices in
Cincinnati and Painfield, Ct.
He received
his Masters of Education degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati and held
teaching positions in Commerce, Texas and in Mississippi. He continued to serve
Glenmary and its mission communities as a volunteer parish brother and as
office staff.

Ricker. He married Velma Hohlbein, June 7, 1938, she survives.

surviving are a son, John A. (Jane) Ricker of Ottoville; a daughter, Arlene A.
(Robert) Kortokrax of Ottoville; two sisters, Lucille Horstman and Agnes
Horstman of Ottoville; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ricker of Ottoville; 14
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was
preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph Ricker.
Mr. Ricker
was a retired dairy farmer and Parker Seed Corn representative for many years.
He was employed at the Farmer’s Mutual Aid Insurance Company for 18 years.
He was a
member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, and its Holy
Name Society. He was a Washington Township, Paulding County, trustee for 26
years.

She married
James Siebeneck. He preceded her in death.

include two daughters, Teresa (Brian) Curtis and Marjorie (Mark) Willingham;
one brother Walter (Rosalee) Schneeg; three grandchildren, Katie Curtis, and
Matthew and Amanda Willingham.
She was

Honigford, 55, of Cloverdale, died 12:30 p.m. March 11 in Van Wert County
Hospital. She was born May 6, 1941, in Delphos to Ralph and Clotilda
(Schlagbaum) Spieles. Her parents survive.
On Aug. 26,
1961 she married Gerald F. Honigford, who survives. Survivors include two sons,
Randall (Joyce) Honigford of Kalida and Brad Honigford at home; four daughters,
Marla (Mike) Kelsey and Kathleen Honigford of Toledo, Linda Honigford of Villa
Hills, Ky., and Cheryl Honigford of Columbus; three brothers, James Spieles of
Wauseon, Bob Spieles and Chuck Spieles of Delphos; two sisters, Marcia
Grothause of Ft. Jennings and Diann Neal of Columbus; and three grandchildren.
Mrs.
Honigford was employed at I & K Distributors for eight years. She was a
member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, and its Alter
Rosary Society. She was a 1959 graduate of St. John's High School.

Grothouse, 97, of Delphos, died 5:22 a.m. April 2 at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was
born January 31, 1900, in Ottoville to Henry A. and Anna E. (Schirack) Kehres.
She married Sylvester G. Grothouse May 16, 1923. He died September 19, 1965.
Survivors
include one son, Don (Frances) Grothouse of Delphos; two daughters, Mildred
Noonan and Arlene Grothouse of Delphos; seven grandchildren and 16
great-grandchildren; a niece, Carol Ann Evans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and
two nephews, James Castner and Larry Castner of Akron.
She was
preceded in death by one daughter, Doris Klausing; three brothers, Roman, Leroy
and Victor Kehres; and one sister, Oneta Castner.
Mrs.
Grothouse was a secretary of the Delphos Chamber of Commerce. She retired in
1970 from The Delphos Herald, where she sold office supplies.
She was a
member of St. John the Evangelist Church and was the last surviving member of
the Delphos Court 707 of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a
member of the Eagles, C. K. of A. American Legion Auxiliary, former Fort Nite
Pals, and Van Wert 40 et 8. She was a Red Cross Volunteer.
Mass of
Christian burial was at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial
will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

She was born January 14, 1905, in
Ottoville to William C. and Margaret (Studer) Burgei. On October 28, 1925, she
married Sylvester P. Hugel, who died July 7, 1983.
Survivors include a son, Richard
(Betty) Hugel of Landeck; a daughter, Velma (Gilbert) Wehri of Delphos; nine
grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five
brothers, Charles Burgei, Joseph Burgei, Michael Burgei, Jacob Burgei and
William Burgei; and six sisters, Catherine Gasser, Mary Burgei, Magdalene
(Sister M. Pulcheria CPPS), Clara Rahrig, Caroline Burgei and Elizabeth (Sister
M. Felicitas CPPS).
Mrs. Hugel was a homemaker and a
member of St. John the Baptist Church of Landeck, its Alter Rosary Society and
Landeck Council 84 Catholic Ladies of Columbia.

Medical Center, Lima.
He was born
June 5, 1912, in Cloverdale, to August and Mary (Wink) Boecker. On April 7,
1937, he married Ruth H. Schmitt, and she died May 8, 1985.
Mr. Boecker
was a lifelong farmer. He was the 1973 Putnam County Farmer of the Year, and
worked at the A.S.C. office for many years as a surveyor. He was a member of
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, the K. of C. in Kalida, the
Delphos Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 471, VFW Post 3740 and a member of the
Putnam County Farm Bureau.
Surviving
are nine sons, Dennis (Diane) Boecker, Simpsonville, SC, Maurice (Donna)
Boecker, Findley, Norbert “Nub” (Jean) Boecker, Duane (Bonnie) Boecker, and

Mary R. Fleming
Mary R.
Fleming, 76, Lima, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 1997, at her residence.
She was
born January 4, 1921, in Ottoville, to William and Helen (Weber) Perrin. On
June 10, 1946, she married Joseph E. Fleming and he died September 28, 1969.
Mrs.
Fleming was a production employee of Westinghouse, retiring in 1982, after 32
years of service. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and its Alter
Rosary Society. She was a life member of the Ottoville VFW Auxiliary and the
Lima Eagles Auxiliary Post 370.
Surviving
are a son, William J. (Linda) Fleming, Cincinnati; one daughter Kathleen
(Charles) Knueven, Leipsic, and Jeanne (Amin) Hassan, San Clemente, CA; a
brother, Joseph (Ethel) Perrin, Delphos; 13 grandchildren; and four
step-grandchildren.
She was
preceded in death by a brother, John Perrin.
Mass of
Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 16, at St. Rose Catholic Church.
Rev. J. Norbert Howe will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Friends may
call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of
funeral services at 1 p.m. at Hogenkamp-Rousculp funeral Home, 900 W. Grand
Avenue, Lima.

Robert J.
Schimmoeller, 64, of Columbia City, Indiana, formerly of Jackson Twp, Putnam
County, died May 17 at his residence.
He was born
July 25, 1932, in Jackson Township to Edward C. and Veronica (Kaverman)
Schimmoeller.
Survivors
include four brothers, Phillip W. Schimmoeller of Ft. Jennings, Alfred
Schimmoeller of Delphos, Donald E. Schimmoeller of Cloverdale, and Thomas D.
Schimmoeller of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was
preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Perrin.
Mr.
Schimmoeller was retired from Dana-Weatherhead Co., Columbia City, Ind., where
he had transferred from the plant in Antwerp. He was a 1950 graduate of
Ottoville High School and received a business degree from International
Business College, Ft. Wayne. He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic
Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1906 of Columbia City, Ind.
Mass of
Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ft.
Jennings, the Rev. Mike Schelling officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph
Catholic Cemetery, Ft. Jennings.

Christian burial for Mary M. (Becky) Schneeg, 80, of Ottoville will be 10:30
a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville, the Rev. Sylvan

She died
8:10 a.m. June 19 at Delphos Memorial Home.
She was
born December 27, 1916, in Delphos to Joseph and Edith (Brickner) Beckman. She
married Gilbert W. Schneeg in 1969. He died November 19, 1971.
Survivors
include several step-nieces and step-nephews and cousins.
She was
preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Beckman and Arthur Beckman.
Mrs.
Schneeg was a surgical nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, Ft. Wayne, and a floor
nurse at the Van Wert County Hospital. She was a member of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. She was a graduate of St. John’s High
School and St. Joseph School of Nursing in Ft. Wayne.
Friends may

a parish wake will be 7 p.m.

Hilda M. Ricker
Hilda M.
Ricker, 80, of Delphos died 12:23 a.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital,
Dayton.
She was
born July 8, 1916, in Ottoville to Joseph and Veronica “Fronie” (Cutter)
Beining. She married Ralph C. Ricker January 20, 1937. He died December 8,
1979.
Survivors
include four daughters, Patricia (James) Riddle of South Charleston, Darlene
(Larry) Schultz of Ayersville, Linda (Richard) Johnson of Defiance, and Jill
(David) Dancer of Delphos; one brother, Gene Beining of Ottoville; one
daughter-in-law, Betty Ricker; 14 grandchildren; and numerous
great-grandchildren.
She was
preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Ricker and Danny Ricker; three brothers,
Walt, Art and Joe Beining; one sister, Jenny; and two great-grandchildren.
Ms. Ricker
was a waitress at the Line-Up Restaurant. She was a member of St. John the
Evangelist Catholic Church.
Mass of
Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Church.
Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.

Joseph Wurst
Joseph
Wurst, 73, of Prescott died Friday, August 1, 1997, in Yavapi Regional Medical
Center.
He was born
January 16, 1924 in Ottoville, Ohio, to Joseph and Mary (Rekart) Wurst.
Mr. Wurst
retired after 28 years as a postal worker with the U. S. Postal Service. He
moved to Prescott in 1994 from Anderson, California.
Mr. Wurst
served three years in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a member of
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 541.
Mr. Wurst
enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was proud of his children
and grandchildren and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived
by his daughters, Karen Stinson of Prescott, Cheryl Ross of Pheonix; and six
grandchildren.

Cyril
William “Shrimp” Horstman, 87, Ottoville, died at 6:28 a.m. Saturday, October
11, 1997, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
He was born
June 22, 1910, in Putnam County, to Ben and Anna (Grote) Horstman. He married
Evelyn Seymour on November 22, 1934, and she survives.
Survivors
include a daughter, Ruth “Sis” (Tom) Schimmoeller, Delphos; two sons, Joseph
(Sharon) Horstman, Ft. Jennings, and John (Susan) Horstman, Ottoville; eight
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph and Leo
Horstman; and two sisters, Rosemary “Babe” Wannemacher and Mary Ann “Toots”
Bullinger.
He was
preceded in death by two brothers, Cletus and Richard Horstman.
Mr. Horstman
retired in 1972 after working as a meat cutter. He was a member of VFW Post
3740, Ottoville.
Funeral
services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 1997, at Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, Father Sylvan Obergefell officiated. Burial
was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Germaine H. Spicer
Germaine H.
Spicer, 72, Ft. Jennings and formerly of Lima died at 12:13 a.m. Monday October
20, 1997, at her residence.
She was
born March 24, 1925 in Ottoville, to John and Mary Elizabeth (Martin)
Schumaker. She married Ralph E. Spicer on October 30, 1945, and he died in
November of 1991.
Survivors
include five sons, John (Karen) Spicer, Cridersville, Gordon Spicer, Brandon,
FL, Greg (Midge) Spicer, Lima, Andrew (Diane) Spicer, Columbus, and Christopher
(Christine) Spicer, Elida; seven daughters, Janice (Keith) Koontz, Lima, Jeanne
(Larry) Watkins, Lafayette, IN, Germaine Woten, Columbus Grove, Diane (Clyde)
Anderson, Gulf Port, FL, Theresa (Mike) McGilton, Fremont, Lisa Marsh, Ft.
Jennings and Beth (Tim) Ayer, Grand Rapids; 32 grandchildren; 3
great-grandchildren; one sister, Wilma Tenwalde, Ottoville; and one brother,
Leonard Schumaker, Alaska.
She was
preceded in death by one son, Michael spicer, and one grandson, Gregory John.
Mrs. Spicer
was a member of the Nurses Training Program at St. Rita’s Hospital, Lima, when
she left her studies to marry Ralph. She went on to have 13 children and serve
as vice-president and secretary of Spicer Plumbing and Heating until the time
of Ralph’s death in November of 1991. She was also a member of St. Gerard’s
Catholic Church, Lima.

Gerald
“Jerry” Sanders, 66, Lima, died at 8 p.m. Friday, October 24, 1997, at Richland
Manor Nursing Home, Lima.
He was born
March 7, 1931, in Ottoville to Joseph and Anna (Pohl) Sanders. He married Alice
Campbell on January 2, 1952, and she survives in Lima.
Survivors
include three daughters, Ruth (Roger) Sexton, Lima, Barbara Jamison, Lima, and
Terri (Tom Jr.) McNamara, Lima; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; and two
sisters, Sister Mary Silvina, Dayton; and Mildred Rampe, Kalida.
He was
preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joseph, Sylvester and Gilbert
Sanders; two sisters Lucinda Ellerbrock, and Mary Ann Schimmoeller; and one
granddaughter, Allison McNamara.
Mr. Sanders
retired after 34 years with North American Philips Corporation, Ottawa. He was
a member of the 20th Century Club at Philips.
Services
were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, ay Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral
Home, Lima. The Reverend Michael Dandurand officiated. Burial was made in
Maplewood Cemetery, Lima.

Virgil C. Kehres
Virgil C. Kehres, 92, died October 30, 1997. Born February 9, 1905, in Ottoville, Ohio, he was raised in Dansville by art and Bertha Miller. Mr. Charis was a veteran of the Army Air Force. He was retired from sunshine biscuit after 33 years of service and following his retirement, he worked as a deputy and court officer for judge swallow in Montmorency County. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Anna. Surviving are his four children,Shirley Lininger, Virgil (Joan), Richard (Barbara), and Donald (Sharon) Kehres; their mother, Helen Louise; his children by marriage, Nick, Pat and Bob Marilyn Radell; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three brothers, Miles, Raymond and William Kehres; two sisters, Isabel and Hilda; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 10 AM at G Brunson andne-Runciman Co. Ball Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, with the Rev. Russell Logsdon, pastor of Vantown and Dansville United Methodist churches, officiating. He was born Jan. 23, 1939, in Ottoville to
Frank and Rose (Hilvers) Allemeier. Mr. Allemeier married Judith A. Rode
Nov. 24, 1966. She survives.
Surviving also are a son, Craig Allemeier of
Atlanta, Ga.; and two sisters, Lucille (Manford) Gremaux of New Haven, Ind.,
and Alice (Williams) Kahle of Kalida.
He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Leroy Allemeier and Fred Allemeier.
Mr. Allemeier was a warehouse supervisor at
I&K Distributors.
He was a U. S. Army
veteran, a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Kiwanis Club and
Delphos Auto Club.

William I.
(Bill) Gasser, 64, of Fort Jennings died 7:05 a.m. Dec. 24 at St. Rita's
Medical Center. He was born May 5, 1933, in Ottoville to William and Mary
(Ricker) Gasser. He married Lois K. Conkright Oct. 19, 1957. She survives in
Fort Jennings.
Other
survivors include sons Randy (Cathy) Gasser of Fort Jennings and Rick Gasser
and James Gasser of Long Beach Calif.; a daughter Beth (Mark) Pohlman of
Delphos; a brother, Robert (Dorthy) Gasser of Ottoville; and 11 sisters; Anne
Knippen of Ottoville, Dorothy (Moletus) Osting, LaVera Hanf and Agnes (Joe)
Knippen of Delphos, Regina Boehmer, LaDonna Ostendorf and Leona (Len)
Bruskotter of Fort Jennings, Alvera (Gene) Kleman of Derby, Kansas, Delores
Rieman and Mary Ann (Ed) Grote of Kalida, and Rita Miller of Warsaw Indiana,
and seven grandchildren.
He was
preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Gasser, and one grandchild. He was a
grain elevator operator at the Fort Jennings Equity. He was an Army Veteran. He
was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fort Jennings; American Legion
Post 715; and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
