Edward J. Hoersten
            Edward J. Hoersten, 81, Ft. Jennings, died at 3:25 a.m., at Paradise Oaks Nursing Home in Cloverdale.
            He was born November 24, 1904 in Ottoville to Joseph and Theresa (Kramer) Hoersten. He married Catherine A. Pohl on September 6, 1933 in Ottoville, and she survives.
            Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Eleanor) Hermiller, Miller City; two sons, Walter, Ft. Jennings, and Leonard, DeSoto, TX.; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Matilda Herman, Delphos, Mrs. Huber (Julie) Hemker, Ft. Jennings, Mrs. Elmer (Barbara) Schneider, Ottoville, Mrs. Herbert (Clarann) Gerdeman, Delphos, Mrs. Herman (Victoria) Luersman, Ft. Jennings; four brothers, Vincent, Delphos, Lawrence, Ottawa, Anthony and Clarence, Ottoville.
            Mr. Hoersten was a retired farmer and custodian at the Ft. Jennings school. He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ft. Jennings.
            Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Church, the Rev. John Shanahan officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery, Ft. Jennings.
            Visitation will be after 7 p.m. tonight at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home in Ottoville. A wake service will be at 8 p.m., Thursday at the Ottoville home.

Regina Wannemacher
            Regina Wannemacher, 97, Cloverdale, died at 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Van Wert County Hospital.
            She was born in Ottoville on July 2, 1888 to Henry and Caroline (Perrin) Wurst. She married Sylvester Wannemacher on September 21, 1909, and he died in 1961.
            Survivors include four daughters, Alice Maag, Ft. Jennings, Priscilla Wannemacher, Ottoville, Mrs. Robert (Rita) Eickholt, Mrs. Leonard (Jean) Leonard, both of Columbus; four sons, Earl, Ottoville, Norval, Lima, Richard, Defiance, and Robert, Columbus; 26 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
            A Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. The burial was in the church cemetery.
            Mrs. Wannemacher was a housewife.
            Arrangements were under direction of Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville.

Donald E. Knippen
            Donald E. Knippen, 43, Elida, died at 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center.
He was born in Lima on February 22, 1942, to Melitus (Jack) and Regina (Utendorf) Knippen, who survive in Ottoville. On October 28, 1972 he married Betty Honigford, who also survives.
            Survivors also include two sons, Bryan and Travis Knippen, both at home; one brother, Ken, Ottoville; three sisters, Mrs. Steve (Ann) Turnwald, New Haven, IN., Mrs. Mike (Jean) Byrne, and Mrs. John (Jane) Schlagbaum, both of Ottoville.
            Mr. Knippen was operations manager for Yellow Freight Lines, Lima. He was a 1960 graduate of Ottoville High School and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Wapakoneta and St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. He served with the United States Air Force.
            Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, the Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. The burial will be in the St. Mary's cemetery in Ottoville, where grave side rites will be conducted by the VFW.
            The Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home in Ottoville handled the funeral arrangements.

Bernice M. Fischer
            Funeral services were held Monday at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, with Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating, for Bernice Marie Fischer, 68, of West Minister, CA.
            Mrs. Fischer died last Wednesday, March 12, at the Huntington Humana Hospital, Huntington Beach, CA.
            Born December 19, 1917 to Frank M. and Philomena M. Rampe Weber, she married Sid Fischer, who died in 1970.
            Survivors include one brother, Cyril M. (Skeeter) Weber, of Ottoville.
            Mrs. Fischer was a member of St. Boniventure Catholic Church of Huntington, CA.
            Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Lawrence A. Brinkman
            Lawrence A. Brinkman, 82, of Ottoville, died at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf.
            He was born July 26, 1903, in Ottoville to Joseph and Theresa Brinkman. He married Gertrude A. (Bedink) Kistler in 1950 and she survives.
            Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Mary Kay) Unverferth, Kalida; two sons, Dan and Nicholas, at home; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step-grandchildren; and six sisters, Myra Altenburger, Cloverdale; Ladonna Eggeman, Delphos; Verena Martin, Ft. Jennings; Martha Bibler, Continental; Irene Brinkman, Lima; Mrs. Alphonse (Alma) Heitmeyer, Kalida; and two brothers, Raymond, Cloverdale, and Leander, Columbus Grove.
            Mr. Brinkman served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired carpet layer from the Ottoville Hardware. He was a member of the holy Name Society and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
            Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, with Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. A parish wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday (today). Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
            Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Albert F. Warnecke
            Retired Ottoville postmaster Albert F. (Butch) Warnecke, 79, Ottoville, died Friday at 3:20 p.m.
            He was born in Ft. Jennings on November 4, 1906, to John and Mary (Eggeman) Warnecke. He married Florentine Sellet on November 27, 1943, and she survives.
            Also surviving are a son Thomas, Findlay; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Nancy) Horstman, Dublin, Patricia Warnecke, Worthington, Susan Warnecke, Carlton, WA.; three grandchildren; a brother, Urban, Sapphire, NC.; and a sister, Martha Van Oss, Delphos.
            Mr. Warnecke had retired as postmaster in Ottoville. He was a World War II Army Veteran and retired earlier this year from the Putnam County Soldiers and Sailors Relief Board. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the church’s Holy Name Society and the VFW, all in Ottoville; the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and the American Legion, Ft. Jennings.
            Mass of Christian Burial was held noon Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. Burial was held in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
            A wake service was held Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville.

Shelley S. Longstreth
            Shelley S. Longstreth, 20, Middle Point, a graduate of Ottoville High School was fatally injured in a one car accident sometime Monday around 1:30 a.m. in Van Wert County.
            According to the Van Wert Sheriff’s Department it appeared that Longstreth’s car was westbound on Dixon-Cavette-Wetzel Road, when it went off the left side of the road and came back into the road broadside. The car appeared to have gone off the left side of the road again, hit a culvert, and went down through the ditch.
            According to Sheriff Brittsan, the woman was apparently thrown out of the car on the east side of Adams Road. The car continued into the ditch, exited the ditch, and came to rest. He said the car was apparently traveling at a high rate of speed.
            She was found shortly after 7 p.m. Monday in a water filled ditch by a man who lived near the scene of the accident.
            Miss Lonstreth was pronounced dead on arrival at Van Wert County Hospital.
            She was born May 16, 1965 in Van Wert to Earl R. and Mildred (Brumback) Longstreth. Her mother survives in Ft. Wayne, IN., and her father survives in Van Wert.
            Other survivors include two brothers, Terry L., Van Wert, and Bradley, Greely, CO.; one sister, Mrs. Michael (Kimberly) Leis, Ottoville; and her fiancé, Roger Kehres, Middlepoint.
            She was employed at Ping Dynasty Restaurant, Delphos.
            Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.
            Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and anytime up to the time of the services.

Mayme G. Gasser
Mayme G. Gasser, 88, Ft. Jennings, died 12:35 a.m. Tuesday at her home. She was born January 29, 1898 in Putnam County to Joseph and Mary (Gergen) Bohn. She married Gebhard Gasser Sr. on May 21, 1919, in Ottoville. He died September 4, 1985.
            Survivors include two sons Gebhard Gasser Jr., Delphos; and Rudy Gasser, Ft. Jennings; two daughters, Rosemary Kramer, Delphos; and Mrs. Herman (Alma) Beckman, Delphos; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother Sylvester Bohn, Reading, Mich., A daughter, Wilma is deceased.
            She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Alter Rosary Society. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
            Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Catherine A. Hoersten
            Catherine A. Hoersten, 79, Ft. Jennings, died at 2:22 a.m. Sunday in St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
            She was born in Ottoville on October 11, 1906, the daughter of John A. and Philomena (Meyers) Pohl. She married Edward J. Hoersten on September 6, 1933. He died January 8, 1986.
            Survivors include two sons, Walter, Ft. Jennings, and Leonard, DeSoto, TX.; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Eleanor) Hermiller, Miller City; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Pohl, Ft. Jennings; and one sister, Carolyn Utrup, Delphos.
            Mrs. Hoersten was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings, the Alter Rosary Society, and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
            Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rev. John Shanahan officiating. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
            Alter Rosary and C. L. of C. services were held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a parish wake service at 8 p.m., at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville.

Rudolph B. Hoehn
            A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. Monday for Rudolph B.(Rudy) Hoehn, 80, Ft. Jennings, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, with Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating.
            Mr. Hoehn died at 5 p.m. last Wednesday at his residence.
            He was born January 10, 1906, in Ottoville, the son of Anton and Margaret (Kuhlenneck) Hoehn. On October 18, 1932, he married Marcele A. Altenburger, who died January 11, 1985.
            Survivors include two sons, Harold, Ottawa, and Donald, Delphos; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Sickels, of Delphos, and Mrs. Joseph (Geri) Burgei of Ottoville; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Leo of Lima.
            Mr. Hoehn was a farmer. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Catholic Knights of Ohio, the Holy Name Society of the church and the Ottoville Senior Citizens.
            Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Rose Eickholt
            Rose Eickholt died April 25 in her home in Rancho Cordova, CA., following a lengthy illness. She was a widow of C/M Sgt. Kenneth J. Eickholt, former Ottoville resident.
            Survivors include her mother-in-law, Mrs. Ed Eickholt, Ottoville; and sisters in law, Mrs. Ray (Evelyn) Brinkman, Cloverdale, Mrs. B. E. (Norma) Smith, and Mrs. George (Lucille) Mangas, Lima, Mrs. James (Jeanette) Ruhe and Mrs. Karl (Doris) German, Ottawa, and Mrs. Harold (Lillian) Kohlrieser, Uniopolis.
            The burial was in Arlington National Cemetery, VA.

Ann C. Rellinger
            Ann C. Rellinger, 64, Ft. Jennings, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in her home. She was born in Putnam County on August 28, 1921, the daughter of Anton G. and Rosa (Gasser) Bensman. On August 28, 1946, she married John O. Rellinger, who survives.
            Mrs. Rellinger was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Alter Rosary Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
            Survivors include one son George F. Rellinger, Upper Sandusky; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Marie) Miller, Delphos; six grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Bensman, Lima; and one sister, Mrs. Lewis (Martha) Carder, Delphos.
            Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings. Rev. John Shanahan officiated. Burial was held in St. Mary's Cemetery Ottoville.
            A parish wake service was held at 8 p.m. Sunday at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel.

Barbara E. Brinkman
            Barbara E. Brinkman, 79, Cloverdale, died Monday, at 12:50 p.m., at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
            She was born in Putnam County on September 21, 1906, the daughter of Frederick and Cathryn (Bickman) Heitmeyer. On July 17, 1934, she married Cornelius W. Brinkman in Ottoville. He died April 11, 1966.
            Survivors include two sons, Robert, Ft. Jennings, and Thomas, Ottoville; six daughters, Mrs. James (Ruth) Rosengarten, Glandorf, Mrs. Kenneth (Anna Maria) Meyer, Glandorf, Mrs. John (Theresa) Friemoth, Idyllivild, CA., Mrs. Jorge (Julie) Rivas, Los Angeles, CA., Miss Rita Brinkman, Dayton, Mrs. Michale (Agnes) Swint, Ottoville; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Cleo (Frances) Schimmoeller, Ft. Jennings, Mrs. Gilbert (Jean) Smith, Kalida; four brothers, John and Alphonse Heitmeyer, both from Kalida, and Norbert and Leo Heitmeyer, Ottoville.
            Mrs. Brinkman was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alter Rosary Society, and Ottoville Senior Citizens. She spent ten years working at Krey Packing Company as a production worker.
            Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.
            Visitation is Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home in Ottoville.

Laverne J. Brandehoff
            Laverne J. Brandehoff, 77, Wapakoneta, died at 1 p.m. Saturday at Auglaize Acres after a long illness.
            He was born June 26, 1908, in Ottoville, the son of John and Mary (Looser) Brandehoff. On May 17, 1932, he married Gladys E. Wreede, who died January 18, 1985.
            Survivors include five sons, 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother.
            Services were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Charles D. Siferd Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Rev. Anthony Repas officiated. Burial was held in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
            A wake service was held 7 p.m. Monday.

Esther V. Kaverman
            Esther V. Kaverman, 57, of Ft. Jennings, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Van Wert County Hospital, following a sudden illness.
            She was born April 25, 1929, in Delphos, the daughter of William and Angela (Picker) Bonifas. On September 26, 1956, she married Eugene A. Kaverman, who survives.
            Mrs. Kaverman was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Alter Rosary Society.
            Survivors include two sons, James Kaverman, Delphos, and Jerry Kaverman, at home; six daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Elizabeth) Hunt, of Oakwood, Mrs. Jerome (Carol) Bendele, Ottoville, and Linda Kaverman, Marie Kaverman, Angie Kaverman and Janice Kaverman, all at home; five grandchildren; one brother, Melvin D. Bonifas, Delphos; two sisters, Rosella L. Bonifas and Eileen M. Bonifas, both of Delphos; one son Joseph is deceased.
            Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev. Roger Bonifas and Rev. Louis Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Joseph G. Gasser
            Joseph G. Gasser, 68, of Ft. Jennings, died at 6 a.m. Friday at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima after a long illness.
            He was born May 5, 1918, in Ottoville, the son of Frank and Catherine (Burgei) Gasser.  On June 2, 1945, he married Lucille Suever, who survives.
            Mr. Gasser was a retired farmer and was also retired from General Motors Central Foundry Division, in Defiance. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ft. Jennings.
            Survivors also include one son, David Gasser Ft. Jennings; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Janet) Hoersten, Ft. Jennings; four grandchildren; three brothers, Arnold, Delphos and Eugene and Frank, Ottoville; two sisters, Mrs. John (Felicitas) Kill, Delphos, and Mrs. Bernard (Marie) Gerdeman, Ottoville.
            Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings, with Rev. John J. Shanahan officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Thelma J. Seimet
            Thelma Jean Seimet, 61, Ft. Jennings, died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at Lima Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.
            She was born June 24, 1925, in Ottoville, to Harry and Irma Meyers. On September 13, 1946, she married Frank Phillips. She then married Lavern Seimet, who is deceased.
            Survivors include six sons, Barry, Delphos, Jay, Vane Wert, Travis and Terry, Ottoville, Jeff, Joplin, MO., and Todd, St. Petersburg, FL.; four daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Bonnie) Walters, Convoy, Mrs. Jack (Tonda) Ricker and Rhonda Seimet, both of Ft. Jennings, and Mrs. Robert (Lana) Addis, Antwerp; 17 grandchildren; and three brothers, Harry and Lavern Myers, both of Michigan, and Kenneth Myers, Rushmore; and six sisters, Mabel Armentrout, Rushmore, Mrs. Patrick (Catherine) Rosselit, Ottawa, Estella Sipe and Mrs. Frank (Pauline) Ballinger, both of Lima, Mrs. Lance (Marjorie) Myers, Pheonix, AZ., and Mrs. Harry (Martha) Hartzog, Elida.
            Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Terry Collier officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Sister Mary Imelda Gmeiner
            Sister Mary Imelda Gmeiner CDP died Monday September 22, at 1:52 p.m. at Holy Family Nursing Home of St. Anne Convent, Melbourne, KY. She was 91 years old and a professed sister for 65 years.
            Sister Mary Imelda (Olive Elizabeth) one of ten children of Leonard and Mary (Miller) Gmeiner, was born at Ottoville on July 6, 1895.
            At the age of 21, Olive, entered the Convent of Mt. St. Martin. She was received into the Novitiate on August 27, 1920, and made her first Profess of Vows the following year.
            Sister M. Imelda taught for 58 years in various schools throughout Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia, including 12 years at St. Michael’s school, Kalida. In January 1979 she retired to Holy Family Home.
            She leaves a brother Ambrose Gmeiner, Ottawa; and a sister, Alma Holtgreven, Glandorf.
            Funeral Mass was held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, September 25, at the convent.
            Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport, KY., made arrangements.

Fae I. Ernst
            Fae I. Ernst, 80, formerly of Cloverdale, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, at Van Wert Manor nursing Home.
            She was born February 21, 1906, in Allen County, the daughter of Charles and Effie A. (Staup) McDonel. In 1922, she married Ben Flory, who is deceased. On October 31, 1942, she married Albert Ernst, who died in 1979.
            Mrs. Ernst was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Ottoville and was a retired employee of Sylvania Electric, Ottawa.
            Survivors include two daughters, Helen Dunlap and Mrs. Norbert (Rita) Schnipke, both of Ft. Jennings; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Blenna) Swartz, Delphos, and Mrs. Arby (Leta) Moorman, Sperncerville.
            Services were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos. Rev. Gail Moorman officiated. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, north of Ottoville.

Martha C. Rode
            Mass of Christian burial for Martha C. Rode, 82, of Delphos will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
            She died 7:35 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville, after a short illness.
            She was born July 8, 1904, in Ottoville to Henry and Agnes (Kortokrax) Honigford. She married George H. Rode February 20, 1928. He died November 27, 1953.
            Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Bette) Wickstandt of Delphos; two sons, James Rode of Van Wert and Robert Rode of Lima; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
            A homemaker, Mrs. Rode was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Alter Rosary Society.
            Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, where parish wake will be 8 p.m. today.  Preferred memorials are to the nursing home.

Lucy Rayman
            Lucy Rayman, 93, formerly of Ottoville, died at 6:45 p.m., Monday, at Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale.
            She was born April 1, 1893, in Ottoville to Frank and Philomena (Pohl) Schimmoeller. On January 22, 1913, she married John Rayman. He died August 3, 1940.
            Survivors include four sons, Paul, Cloverdale, Stanley, Vaughnsville, Robert, North Ridegeville, and Eugene, Elida; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Maxine) Crowe, Toledo; and Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Rott, Delphos; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and two half sisters, Mrs. Alberta Bader and Mrs. Mildred Gladen, both of Springfield.
            One son Glen was killed in World War II. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one step brother.
            Mrs. Rayman was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville; VFW Auxiliary of Ottoville; American Legion Auxiliary of Ft. Jennings; a Gold Star Mother; and a member of its Alter Rosary Society.
            Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Rev. Sylvan Obergefell officiating.
            Burial will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.
            Friends may call all day Wednesday (today) at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home in Ottoville.
            A combined VFW and American Legion service was held at 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. There will be a parish wake service 8 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the funeral home.

Leo A. Hoehn
            Leo A. Hoehn, 85, died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Rita’s Medical Center following a brief illness.
            He was born January 13, 1901, in Ottoville, the son of Anton and Margaret (Kuhlaneck) Hoehn. His wife Regina Catherine Hoehn, died May 10, 1981.
            Mr. Hoehn was the retired co-owner of Nick’s Brake and Steering Service. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church, Lima.
            Survivors include four daughters, Marianne M. Hoehn, Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Pangle and Mrs. Richard (Margene) Dardio, all of Lima, and Mrs. Robert (Delores) Ibbitson, Hampton, MS.; five sons, Laverne R., Norbert L., Jerome G., Hubert M., and Kenneth L., all of Lima; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
            Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial was in Gethsemani Cemetery.
            A parish wake service was held at 8 p.m., Thursday.

Wilma M. Huber
            Wilma M. Huber, 93, formerly of Spencerville, died at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, at Delphos Memorial Nursing Home, where she resided since April, 1975.
            She was born May 10, 1893, in Ottoville, the daughter of Anthony and Margaret Haala. On April 9, 1917, she married Murlin C. Huber, who died March 18, 1971.
            Mrs. Huber was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and its Alter Rosary Society.
            Survivors include one son, Merlin J. (Jack) Huber, Spencerville; two daughters, LaDonna Hotz and Mrs. Alfred (Jean) Miller, both of Delphos; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
            Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rev. John Hanacsek officiating. Burial was in St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery, Landeck.
            A parish wake service was held 8 p.m., Friday, at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville.

Lester and Lettie Perrin
            Joint funeral services were held 1 p.m. December 22 for Lester J. Perrin, 79, and his wife Lettie L. Perrin, 72, of Flint, MI., formerly of Ottoville, in Reigle Funeral Home, Flint, MI. Burial was in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint.
            Lettie died December 18 and Lester, died December 20.
            Lester was born October 31, 1907, in Ottoville to Charles and Anna Perrin. He married Lettie Fiches in 1929 in Flint, MI.
            They are survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charles R. (Loretta) Judy, of Florida, Mrs. William G. (Jeanette) Cook, Flint, MI., and Mrs. Donald (Linda) Greene, Flint, MI.; three sons, Ronald, California, Darrel and Michael, both of Flint, MI.; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
            Lester is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Catherine) Miller, Spencerville, Mrs. Ralph (Josephine) Shaw and Mrs. Mary Grothaus, Lima, and Mrs. Martha Shrider, Santa Monica, CA.; and two brothers, Leo, Spencverville, and Ralph, Wapakoneta.
            Lettie is survived by one sister, Ruth Hartshorn, Flint, MI.
            One son and one daughter are deceased.

Salome Grosenbacher
            Salome “Sally” Leatherman, 79, formerly of Oakwood, died at 2:15 a.m., December 23, in Defiance City Hospital.
            She was born February 11, 1907, in Ottoville to Daniel and Emma (Brandehoff) Byrne.
            Survivors include two sons, John D. (Dag) Herman, Ottoville, and Louis A., Herman, Paulding; a daughter, Luella Huff, Oakwood; a sister, Josephine Herman, Adrian, MI.; two brothers, Joseph Byrne, Lima, and John Byrne II, Ottoville; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
            She was precede in death by a son, Eugene Herman; two brothers, Orin, Hugo and John Byrne I; and three husbands, Henry A. Herman, George Leatherman, and Rudy Grosenbacher.
            She was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Cloverdale, Rebecca Lodge, of Oakwood, Continental Senior Citizens, and Defiance and Continental Bowling Leagues.
            A scripture and wake service was held at 7 p.m., Friday, at Taylor Funeral Home, Oakwood.

Joseph T. Horstman
            Joseph T. Horstman, 91, Ottoville, former member of the Ottoville School Board, died at 1:11 a.m., Saturday, at Van Wert County Hospital, after a long illness.
            He was born February 28, 1895, in Putnam County, the son of Joseph and Anna (Vogt) Horstman. In April 1920, he married Lucy Knippen, who died February 15, 1963.
            A retired farmer, Mr. Horstman was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3740 and Ottoville Senior Citizens.
            Survivors include two sons, Edmund Horstman, LaGrange, IL., and Elmer Horstman, Ottoville; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Fredonna) Eickholt, Mrs. Jerome (Viola) Freimoth and Mrs. Robert (Louise) Miller, all of Ottoville; 28 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
            Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, Rev, Sylvan Obergefell officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.
            Arrangements were handled by Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral Home, Ottoville, where a rosary service was held Sunday at 8 p.m., a parish wake service 8 p.m., Monday, and a VFW memorial service at 8:30 p.m., Monday.
