10-8-1874 DD From the Putnam County Sentinel
On last Saturday Mr. Conrad Fuerst of Monterey Township, while hauling a load of sand across the Canal
Bridge at Ottoville, was thrown under the wagon, a wheel of which passed over his leg breaking and fracturing
it badly.
